Renewal of R.C. under MTW Act
Earlier it was easy to file application for renewal of RC under MTW Act with ALC and also to pay the required fees.
Now, if it is true that the applying for renewal of RC only online is permitted and not manually as earlier, it is very diffucult both to pay the fees and also to file the application. As almost majority of lorry owners are small scale operators and will not have sufficient computer knwledge and therefore they have to avail the services of auditors/advocates/labour consultants and of course they demand heavy charges.
For eg, for filing the renewal application with all scanning and uploading, the amount demanded is Rs. 2500 whereas the govt fixed renewal fees is Rs. 250 only. More over they say, even if it is renewal, filing is done by scanning and uploading of all documents just equivalent to application for fresh RC.Is it true? Can we not file manually as earlier?
