Job Description
Consultant for developing Global Development Alliance to Increase Birth Spacing through SDM
Institute for Reproductive Health, Georgetown University Proposed tasks (deliverables):
- Identify corporate partners with potential interest in activities to increase interest in birth spacing, provide information about the SDM to consumers and increase access to CycleBeads.
- Make initial contacts with corporate contacts with IRH country representative.
- Explore issues around intellectual property rights & procedures
- Prepare a brief assessing opportunities and challenges and outlining strategies for advancing corporate partnerships, including but not limited to: 1) a downloadable software mobile phone program for using the SDM; 2) magazine tear outs teaching SDM use on a trial basis and referring users to retail outlets/internet for CycleBeads.

- Will report to the IRH India Country Representative on a regular basis

Desired Candidate Profile
Required qualifications
- Minimum 5 yrs of experience of consulting with the private (corporate ) sector
- Experience developing private sector partnerships to advance health and development issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working and interacting with high-level representatives of the corporate sector
- Able to travel domestically

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mobile phone companies and publishing houses
- Familiarity with family planning and/or reproductive health issues/programs
