    Job Description
    The Chief Administrative Officer will be responsible for the day to day effective management of the regional office, general administration, finance with specific responsibilities
    relating to HR. The person would be expected to work closely with the Regional Director in setting up financial management systems, Human Resource Development practices in the organisation. Apart from the above roles, the post holder will have an opportunity to increase their skills and develop the job. This is very much a developmental job and the areas of responsibility will increase over a period of time.

    Desired Candidate Profile

    2. Key Duties and Responsibilities
    2. Dimensions
    2.1 Staff
    - Finance Manager
    - May manage volunteers as appropriate
    2.2 Relationships/Communication
    - Have a day to day contact with Programmes, Finance and Advocacy team
    - Interact with various stakeholders including partner organisations, consultants and advisors from time to time
    - Building a relationship with partner organisations of CBM SARON and provide advice and support on their policies and practices.

    3. Key accountabilities/tasks
    3.1 Financial management
    - Support and monitor the finance team in ensuring that there are proper financial accounting ands accurate asset management.
    -Ensure timely financial reports and reporting to CBM International and, when necessary, other departments within CBM family
    -Coordinate with the finance team the preparation of regular reports and updates to the Regional Director.
    -Ensure compliance in implementation of approved office budget
    -Co-coordinate with the auditors for office and well as project audits
    -Support the Programme Department to ensure timely delivery of Checklists and other financial aspects of the projects.
    3.2 Human Resource management
    -Manage all personnel matters of staff
    -Set up MIS and related administrative matters for smooth functioning of the office.
    -Be aware of the latest HR practices and other best practices within the development sector
    3.3 Administrative assistance
    -Acknowledge and deal with correspondence from individuals, project partners, international staff and all other audiences as required.
    -Word process letters, memos, reports, notes and other correspondence to a high
    standard of presentation
    -Provide support where required for meetings including assisting with the preparation of agenda, collation of papers, taking and drafting of minutes and chasing follow-up actions to deadline.
    -Ensure compliance to all statutory rules and regulations of the land and procedures in ISO system.

    4. General
    -Be aware of and sensitive to the impact of gender, race, disability and prejudice on attitudes, professional relationships and professional judgment, and be willing to intervene and challenge where necessary
    -Maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure respect for, observance of and adherence to CBM SARON’s confidentiality policy by all staff
    -Contribute to the development of the role as the organisation develops
    -Undertake any task within the postholder’s skills and abilities as may be requested from time to time
    -The post holder will be expected to attend meetings and be involved in other activities at irregular hours as required.

    5. Additional responsibilities
    -Work closely with the relevant staff across CBM SARON to ensure
    effective co-operation and collaboration
    -Ability to plan and prioritise own workload and to work without close supervision
    -Any other work as agreed with the Regional Director
    The post holder will be responsible for all administrative tasks relating to the job. The emphasis on all areas of work in CBM SARON is a team approach.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION
    Essential requirements
    You will:
    -have a post graduate degree with at least 3-4 years of experience focusing on financial management and Human Resource Development.
    -have demonstrable experience in managing teams and introducing financial and human resource systems and practices.
    -have excellent computer and database skills
    -have basic understanding of finances
    -be fluent in written and spoken English and Hindi with excellent writing and communication skills
    -be willing to travel all over India
    -be comfortable as part of a team but will also be a self starter with the initiative to work on your own
    -be open, with a willingness to learn from others and sympathetic with the aims of CBM SARON
    -have the ability to think creatively/laterally and a desire to challenge traditional methodology
