Women Transforming India:
The theme for International Women’s Day, 8th March 2017, focuses on “Women in the Changing World of Work: Planet 50-50 by 2030”. This advances the Government of India’s commitment to ensure Gender Parity in India, with special focus on women’s economic empowerment.

General Guidelines:
** Participants must be at least 18 years of age as on 1st January 2016.
** This is an individual participation contest and team entries would not be allowed. Participants must be Citizens of India and registered users of MyGov.
** Written entries must be in the form of short essays/write-ups, preferably accompanied by photographs. The written essays should be in either English or Hindi, and no more than 500 words. The written entries should be submitted as PDF file on MyGov.
** All videos and photographs should be accompanied by an explanatory caption in English or Hindi not exceeding 50 words. Participants must create a small video clip of not more than 2 minutes and upload the same on YouTube.
** After uploading the video clips, please share the link on MyGov.
** Entries can be submitted by women who are the agents of change, or by those personally or professionally associated with the change maker.
** Entries must clarify who among the two is making the submission. In the latter case, full contact details (including address and phone number) of the woman leading the initiative must be provided.
** Government of India (GoI) will have the copyright on all the entries submitted. By submitting an entry, the Participant(s) agree(s) to transfer the intellectual property rights to GoI.
** The Participant(s) represent(s) and warrant(s) that he/ she will comply with all applicable Indian laws. The Participant(s) shall not disclose and/or use any information, if doing so is in violation of an obligation of anti-trust law and/ or confidentiality.
** GoI reserves the right to reject any entry based on its discretion.
** Participants must not provide any false information in the registration process.
** Participants must keep their contact information accurate and up-to-date.
** GoI reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the competition and/ or the rules without notice for any event that is within the reasonable control of GoI.
** Any changes to the rules, or cancellation of the competition, will be posted on the Contest page on MyGov portal. It is the responsibility of the participants to keep themselves informed as to any changes to the rules.
** GoI accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss or injury of any kind suffered by any participant in entering the Competition, including as a result of any participant winning or not winning any prize.
** The GoI will not be held responsible if the participants are not able to upload their entries on MyGov portal before the last date & time of submission for any reason whatsoever.
** All prizes are non-transferable.

Evaluation Criteria:
** All entries will have to be submitted on or before Monday, May 1, 2017.
** For video/photo: 50 per cent weightage will be given to the content (the individual’s ‘story’) and 50 percent to the quality of the visual
** Written entries will be judged for the effort taken/challenges overcome by the woman and demonstration of determination/leadership in entering the workforce
** A shortlist of about 10 best entries in each of the two categories will be put to poll, in order to determine best three entries in both categories.
** The winning entry in each category will be determined by a Jury set up by the NITI Aayog.
** The women change makers will be felicitated in the Women Transforming India Award ceremony that will tentatively take place in June. Where the nominee is not the change agent, the nominee will receive a certificate of appreciation from NITI Aayog, MyGov and the UN in India. They may also be given an opportunity to interact directly with top policy makers of the Government of India.
