Recruitment to the post of Junior Constables in West Bengal Police- 2016

Applications are invited to fill up 659 posts of Junior Constables in West Bengal Police from eligible Indian Citizens between 18 and 27 years of age as on 01.01.2016 (relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and Ex-Serviceman) having passed VIII standard from a recognized Educational Institution and residing permanently in the LWE affected areas in the Districts of Paschim Medinipore (including Jhargram Police District), Bankura and Purulia.

Applications may be submitted either through on-line or off-line modes for which the window will remain operative for the period from 10.03.2016 to 11.04.2016. The last date for receipt of filled in Application Form through Postal Service (off-line mode) is 11.04.2016 (up to 5 PM).

How to Apply :
All applications in respect of this recruitment drive can be submitted through two modes, one on-line application and the other off-line application.
No application fees are required for submitting the application on-line or off-line by any category of applicants.

If the applicants are applying through “Tathya Mitra Kendras” , then on-line applicants have to pay the e-sahaj service charge and the off-line applicants have to pay the designated fees of printout of the “Application Form”.

APPLICANTS RESIDING PERMANENTLY IN THE JURISDICTION OF THE FOLLOWING POLICE STATIONS ONLY CAN APPLY FOR THE ABOVE POSTS : 1) Chandrapur, 2) Dubrajpur, 3) Rajnagar, 4) Kankartala, 5) Khairasole, 6) Lokepur, 7) Md. Bazar, 8) Murarai, 9) Nalhati, 10) Rampurhat, 11) Sadaipur.

Note :
Candidates residing permanently in the LWE affected areas other than Birbhum District are not eligible to apply. Documents to be kept ready / prepared before entering for Online Application

1. Class VIII pass Certificate : - The following details will have to be filled up strictly as per Class VIII pass certificate
a) Applicant’s Name.
b) Father’s Name.
c) Date of Birth.

2. Also provide details for
a. Mother’s Name.
b. Applicants are required to have their “Social Category” details in their knowledge.

3. Valid E mail address: - Each applicant is required to have Personal Email ID. Various notifications / information from time to time will be sent to this valid mail ID from WBPRB.

4. Mobile Number: - Each applicant will be required to have an individual mobile number. Sharing of mobile number between applicants is not permitted. User-ID and other pertinent messages/information will be sent to this mobile number. This number needs to remain valid till the entire process of this particular drive. WBPRB does not owe any responsibility for delivery failure of SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.

5. Details about your Domicile (Permanent) State, District, Police Station, Post Office and also the Communication State, District, Police Station, Post Office.
6. ‘Part – A’ once filled up cannot be modified after clicking on the “Next” Button of the First Page.

7. ‘Part – B’, Page 3 (Communication / Qualification and Other Details) , Page 4(Upload & Submit) can be edited / modified before submission. Once the Application is submitted, the information filled up cannot be updated / modified / deleted.

8. Soft copy of passport size photo of size between 10 Kb to 50 Kb in jpg format. Dimension should be 4.5 cm height x 3.5 cm width (177 px H by 138 px W).This image can be uploaded on the application form. Please note a cropping tool is also available with the Application Form. You are advised to utilize the same as per requirement of your upload. Take utmost care regarding uploading of your own photograph as per guidelines given in the last section(Page 24) of this document.

9. Scanned copy of full signature in longhand of size between 5 Kb to 20 Kb in jpg format. This image will be uploaded on the application form. Size between 5KB and 20KB (Dimension 63px H BY 350px W) (1.7cm Height X 9.2 cm Width). Take utmost care regarding uploading of your own signature (in longhand) of legible nature.

10. UPLOAD SELF ATTESTED COPY IN A4 SIZE OF RESIDENTIAL CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY SDO/BDO CONCERNED ,VOTER ID CARD(BOTH SIDES ON A4 SIZE PAPER) , RATION CARD,OR SC/ST/OBC CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY COMPETENT AUTHORITY in jpg format. SIZE SHOULD BE WITHIN 200-250KB. (Dimension 1145px Height by 800px Width) [Scan the image with 200 DPI resolution.]

11. Information related to Passing Year of Class VIII & School Name from where the applicant has passed Class VIII examination also needs to be kept ready.
12. Any case details (related to criminal case) also needs to be kept ready for filling up.
