Supplementary Board Examination For Diploma In General Nursing And Midwifery To Be Held January / February-2015 Session.

Notification inviting applications form from the intending candidates for the Supplementary Board Examination in General Nursing and Midwifery for the year January/February- 2015 Session.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. All the Head of the Institutions are instructed to submit the dully filled application to the Office of Chairman or Deputy Chairman, Board of Examination for DGNM, Directorate of Medical Education, Kilpauk, Chennai-10 on or before 31st December 2014 @ 5 PM.
2. The Late application will not be accepted.
3. Incomplete applications will be summarily being rejected without any intimation .
4. All the Institutions are instructed to submit their applications in time without any delay.
5. The receipt of this letter and application should be acknowledged immediately.
6. If there is no student to appear for Board Examination, Nil report may be furnished.

EXAM FEE :
1. Rupees 100 should be paid as Examination for each paper (Theory & Practical).
2. All the Institutions are instructed to take DEMAND DRAFT for Theory and Practical for all candidates appearing for exam.
3. Supplementary/Regular candidates need to submit separate DEMAND DRAFT apart from regular subject exams.
4. The fees should be remitted in the name of “THE CHAIRMAN or DEPUTY CHAIRMAN, BOARD OF EXAMINATION FOR DGNM, DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL EDUCATION, KILPAUK, CHENNAI-10”.

INTERNAL ASSESSMENT :
1. The Internal Mark list should be sent in on or before 31st December 2014 prior to the commencement of the examination.
2. The Internal assessment marks 25 each for theory and 50 marks for practical should be send to sealed confidential cover to the Office of Chairman/Deputy Chairman, Board of Examination for DGNM, Directorate of Medical Education, Kilpauk, Chennai-10.

EXAMINERSHIP :
1. The head of the institutions are instructed to prepare the examiner list with necessary documents and forward to the Office of Chairman or Deputy Chairman, Board of Examination for DGNM, Directorate of Medical Education, Kilpauk, Chennai-10 on or before 31st December 2014 @ 5 PM. the criteria for examinership as follows.
1. They must possess 5 years of teaching experience as on 31.12..2014.
2. They must have continuous one year of teaching experience in that particular organization as on 31.12.2014.
3. The Practical Examiners Name List should be sent along with application form. Otherwise it will not be taken into consideration.
4. The Nursing Tutors who are taking classes to DGNM Students are alone eligible to the Practical Examiners. College of Nursing Lecturers are not eligible for Examiners.
5. School of Nursing Principals Name and Experience details should be sent.

HALL TICKETS :
1. The Principals are requested to collect the empty Hall Tickets from respective Examination Centre. Photo copies of Hall Tickets are not accepted.
2. Filled Hall Tickets to be sent to Board before 31.12.2014.
3. Authorized hall tickets will be delivered to respective Examination Centre and Principals can collect the Hall Tickets one week before the commencement of Examination.
4. Only recent Passport size photo with Uniform and printed name to be affixed and attested by the Principal.

NOTE:
1. As per Indian Nursing Council norms 75% attendance should be essential for a student to appear for the Board Examination.
2. The number of attempts examinations has been waived off. But the candidates must clear all the previous examinations before appearing final year examinations ie. the candidate must clear all the I / II year examinations before appearing III year examination.
3. If one III year student failed in one subject may be allowed to continue the internship.
4. If a candidate failed III year in two or more subjects, they will not be allowed for internship until they clear all the subjects.
5. The course completion certificate will be issued only after clearing all the subjects and completion of internship period.
