Job Description :
Position : Agricultural Stock Seeds Manager
Department : Research & Development
Location : Bagalur, TN
Scope of work :
** To plan, produce and keep ready quality passed foundation seeds, stock seeds ahead of production season.
** To coordinate with sales and production team to forecast requirement of foundation and stock seeds.
** To study behavior of parent lines and provide technical support on crop production to production team.
** To manage inventories of foundation and stock seeds, issuals to production production as per production planning
** Maintainence of appropriate records for all logistics of foundation seeds and stock seeds.
** To manage labour and other resources required in successfully producing in-house foundation and stock seeds.
**To manage farmer base / over seas production sites to produce stock seeds of certain species.
Qualification : MSc Agriculture / Horticulture, with specialisation in plant breeding / agronomy
Experience :
** Min 5 years in managing stock seed / seed production programs.
** 5 - 8 years in a position with exposure to crop production / farm management.
Required Skill sets :
**Planning and budgeting.
**Strong coordination between various departments.
**Farm management.
**Knowledge of plant protection chemicals, fertilizers and micro nutrients.
**Computer literacy, Use of MS office (Word, excel, power point)
