ADMISSION NOTICE (2014-15)

Applications on the prescribed forms are invited from the candidates for admission to Ph.D. Programme in the following disciplines for the academic session 2014-15:-

COLLEGE OF VETERINARY SCIENCE : Animal Nutrition, Livestock Production Management, Livestock Products Technology, Veterinary Anatomy, Veterinary Biochemistry, Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Pharmacology & Toxicology, Veterinary Physiology, Veterinary Public Health & Epidemiology, Veterinary Surgery & Radiology and Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Extension Education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A Master’s level degree (M.V.Sc.) in the respective discipline with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 in B.V.Sc. & A.H. or equivalent

SCHOOL OF ANIMAL BIOTECHNOLOGY: Animal Biotechnology

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A Master’s level degree in Animal Biotechnology/Veterinary Biotechnology/any branch in Veterinary Science/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences and B.V.Sc. & A.H. or B.Sc. (Biotechnology/Medical) or B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology & Molecular Genetics or equivalent degree with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent at Master’s level and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 or equivalent at Bachelor’s level.

COLLEGE OF FISHERIES: Aquaculture

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A Master’s level degree (M.F.Sc.) in respective discipline with a minimum OCPA of 7.00 (out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent and with a minimum OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or 55% marks or an OGPA of 2.00/4.00 in B.F.Sc. or equivalent

HOW TO APPLY :
Prospectus along with application forms can be obtained from the office of Dean, College of Veterinary Science, GADVASU, Ludhiana-141004 either by sending crossed bank draft for Rs.1750/- drawn in favour of Comptroller, GADVASU, Ludhiana, payable at Ludhiana or personally from the said office on payment of Rs.1650/- at the counter on all working days from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. The Prospectus and application forms will be sent under registered cover and University will not be responsible for any postal delay or loss in the transit. The application form can also be downloaded from University Website.

The download application form be submitted with a bank draft of Rs. 3750/-. The application forms purchased from the counter be submitted alongwith bank draft of Rs. 2000/- drawn in the favour of Comptroller, GADVASU, Ludhiana payable at Ludhiana. The last date for receipt of applications in the office of the Registrar is 25.11.2014 without late fee and 02.12.2014 with late fee of Rs.1000/-. Incomplete application or those received after the due date will not be entertained. The in-service candidates are required to apply through proper channel.
