The Wildlife Institute of India is a premier National Institute for training and research in Wildlife Conservation and Management. The Institute is looking for bright candidates for filling up of Group-A Scientific positions 02 (two) posts of ‘Scientist-C’ and 01 (one) post of ‘Scientist-D’ post on Direct Recruitment (D.R.) basis. The applications are invited from citizens of India for filling up of following posts

1 Name of the post : Scientist C

Pay Scale : Pay Band-3 (15600-39100) with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600
Qualifications, Disciplines and Experience in required areas : Master’s Degree in Wildlife Science/ Life Science/Computer Science/Veterinary Sciences with 03 (THREE) years experience in required areas. OR Ph.D. in any of above fields with 01 (ONE) year experience in required areas.
Age: Not exceeding 31 years in case of candidates possessing Master’s degree and 34 years in case of candidates having Ph.D. degree as on 28th November 2014.

Qualifications, Disciplines and Experience in required areas : Master’s Degree in Wildlife Science/Life Science/Computer Science/Veterinary Sciences with 07 (SEVEN) years experience in required areas. OR Ph.D. in any of above fields with 04 (FOUR) years experience in required areas.
Age: Not exceeding 35 years in case of candidates possessing Master’s degree and 38 years in case of candidates having Ph.D. degree as on 28th November 2014.

How to Apply :
(i) The applications should be sent in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-2) typed out on A-4 size paper 210x297 mm) accompanied by crossed Indian Postal Order/Bank Draft of the value of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) drawn in favour of Director, Wildlife Institute of India, payable at Dehradun. Fee is non-refundable. Women candidates and Persons with Disabilities are exempted from payment of fee.

(ii) Applications should be accompanied by self attested copies of certificates of age, educational qualifications, experience, and claim of belonging to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and PWD category. The original certificates would be required at the time of interview.
