IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING WRITTEN EXAMINATION FOR RECRUITMENT OF ERSTWHILE GROUP—D POSTS FROM OPEN MARKET IN PB-l, GP OF RS.1800/-

1. Candidates applied against RRC/ South Eastern Railway’s Employment Notice No.SER/ RRC /OM/ 01 / 2013 dt.26.10.2013 may kindly note the following points
a) They may view their application status on website rrcser.in.
b) RRC/ SER has introduced facilities for downloading Call Letters/ Admit Card from the RRC/ SER’s website (i.e. www.rrcser.in) for valid candidates.

2. All eligible candidates may kindly note that Written Examination against Employment Notice No.SER/ RRC / OM / 01/ 2013 dt.26.10.2013 Will be held basing on Alphabet grouping of candidates and accordingly the schedule, reporting time at the venue (examination centre),examination time has given below:

3. Admit Cards will be made 100%) downloadable. However, provision for issuing duplicate Admit Cards to those candidates, who are unable to download the same, has also been arranged.

4. The procedure for downloading the Admit Card is given below:
(i) Candidates, whose application status have been shown as valid in the website as per procedure mentioned in para (1) above, should have a valid mobile number, which he / she should keep ‘active’ until and unless the entire procedure of all the Recruitment process i.e. PET, document verification etc. relating to this Employment Notice is over. It will help them in getting all examination related information etc. provided by RRC/ SER from time to time.

(ii) Computer With an Internet connection should be activated during the search process of the Admit Card. Candidates should follow step by step instructions detailed therein viz. OMR sample for examination, letter of intimation for candidates opting for scribes( for and those candidates whose writing speed is affected by Cerebral Palsy opting for availing the assistance of scribes) with annemire containing particulars of the scribe proposed to be engaged.

(iii) Candidates must keep a valid Photo Identity Card i.e. Voter Card, Pan Card, Passport, Aadhar Card, ID card issued by Government employer/ service discharge card issued in favour of Ex-Serviceman, Passbook of Bank certifying photograph 86 address.

(iv) Candidate will get a SMS containing User ID, Password for downloading the Admit Card. The downloaded Call Letters/ Admit Card will be valid only after verification of the Photo Identity Card by both the Invigilators in the examination hall.

(v) If any candidate is unable to follow the downloading procedure, should contact the Helpline (Helpline Phone No. will be available in the said website.

(vi) If they do not succeed in downloading the Admit Card after getting the instruction from Helpline, they should come to the office of Chairman/RRC, Bungalow No.12A, 11,Garden Reach Road, Kolkata-700043 iust before 04(for] days of their examination date (as per para-2 above) with a valid Photo Identity Card (i.e. Voter Card, Pan Card, Passport, Aadhar Card etc.l

(vii) This website Will be active from 09.10.2014 and candidates can download their Admit Card just before 15 (fifteen days of their examination date after registration on the website.

(viii) Candidates opting for scribes should come personally to the office of Chairman/RRC, Bungalow No.12A, 11,Garden Reach Road,Kolkata-700043 just 04 days before the day of the examination date (as per para-2 above) with valid Photo Identity card. They should also come alongwith scribes duly filled “Annexure-V containing particulars of the scribe to be engaged by Visually Handicapped candidates or candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy" together with self attested copies of original certificates of both the candidates and the scribes and 2 copies of photographs (each for candidates & scribes) for issuing Call Letters to candidates for appearing in the examination as per dates mentioned in para-2 above.

5. It may be clearly noted that the facility of scribe is available only for such Visually Handicapped candidate/ candidates suffering from Cerebral Palsy, who cannot read or write themselves owing to their disability. If any candidate is found subsequently to have used a scribe even though he is able to read and write Without any assistance, his candidature shall be summarily rejected.

6. Candidates are advised to visit our website “rrcser.in from time to time for any further updates/ information regarding the Written Test and subsequent proceedings.

IMPORTANT NOTE :
A) Merely calling a candidate for the Written Test does not in any way entitle him or her to an appointment in Railways. The candidature of each candidate is purely provisional and is subject to his/ her fulfilling the eligibility criteria in all respects.

B) Candidates are advised not to pay bribes to any person, to be aware of touts and other unscrupulous elements and not to fall in their trap. They may also note that RRC/SER does not issue any Offers of Appointment directly and that the entire Recruitment process is computerised and transparent. If any candidate has any information on corruption in this office or if he is victim of corruption in this office, or if he is approached by any person promising to get him an appointment in Railways, the candidate should immediately bring the matter to the notice of the Chief Personnel or to SDGM-cum-Chief Vigilance S.E.Railway,11,Garden Reach Road, Kolkata-700043.
