Application for award of Jawaharlal Nehru Young Leaders Fellowship under the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF) Programme year 2014-15
Objective and Scope of the Programme :
The objective of the Program is to support the education of students enrolled in doctoral degree Programmes in the Schools and entres of Humanities and Social Sciences (School of Social Sciences, School of International Studies, Schools of Languages, Literature & Culture Studies, School of Arts & Aesthetics, Centre for the Study of Law and Governance and Centre for Sanskrit Studies).
It is aimed at identifying and encouraging students with high potential for leadership in national, regional and international affairs, in public life as well as in private endeavors, by awarding fellowships. These fellowships will be awarded to outstanding students in Social Sciences and Humanities whose studies focus on the theme, ‘Historical and Contemporary Perspectives on the Social-Economics, Political and Cultural Dimensions of Human Development’.
Minimum eligibility, for considering the applicant, should be confirmed in Ph.D. programme with a confirmed Ph.D. topic and has an assigned guide and should be registered, as a continuing student for the next semester.

Applications for the above Fellowships/Scholarships/Awards are invited from registered and eligible students every year through Chairpersons of Centres/Deans of Schools and are awarded on the recommendations of the Committees constituted for the purpose. There is also a provision for students coming from weaker sections of society under the "Earn as you Learn" scheme.
