Do you have a winning idea that can change people’s lives in a meaningful way- If yes, then enter Blueprint 2014.
Blueprint is back in a new avatar to turn your innovations into reality; Innovations that can change the way we live, that can make people’s lives easier, happier and healthier.
The success of Blueprint over the past two years has been overwhelming, and this year we are taking this initiative to whole a new level.
The stakes are higher; the challenge is greater; the rewards manifold.
The Challenge :
Within the businesses that Philips is in today globally,
"Propose an innovative idea which would fuel the growth of Philips in India and positively impact the lives of people."
Your idea and business plan could be related to :
** Innovation in products, services, solutions, processes, go-to-market approach or any other aspect of business
** An untapped business opportunity or an unexplored area for growth in India
Please refer to some helpful links at the bottom of this page to understand our businesses and our strategic priorities. Your proposed Blueprint should be completely aligned with our strategic priorities.
Brainstorming : Round 1
What Philips expects from you : Submit your idea in up to 80 words by registering for Blueprint 2014 using the Registration link . Each team may submit up to 3 ideas.
Registrations Opening Date : 12th September, 2014
Submission Deadline : 17th September, 2014 at 11:59pm
Evaluation & Results : If we like your idea, your team will be shortlisted for the next round. You will be informed via email by 23rd September, 2014 (tentative)
Smart Summary : Round 2
What Philips expects from the participants : Submit an executive summary of your idea in not more than two pages (Font: Calibri & Font Size: 11). Your executive summary must address the following aspects about your idea:
** What is the problem, need or insight being addressed-
** What is your proposed innovation/ idea-
** How big is the market and the opportunity-
** How is the innovation/ idea aligned with Philips’ strategic priorities-
** How will you execute this idea and what kind of returns could be achieved
Opening Date : 23rd September, 2014 (Tentative)
Submission Deadline : 5th October, 2014 (Tentative)
Evaluation & Results : Based on the evaluations by a Philips panel, the top 5 teams from each participating institute will be shortlisted for the next round.
Campus Crowns : Round 3
What Philips expects from the participants : Prepare a detailed business plan in the form of a power point presentation. Your business plan must address the following:
** Market Analysis – Megatrends, Competitor Analysis, Market size & growth,
** Proposed Innovation/ Idea, Details of technology
** Fit with Philips’ portfolio
** Go to market approach
** Financial plan
** Scalability
** Sources of short-term & long-term competitive advantage
Mentorship by Philips Leaders : The top 5 teams from each institute will be assigned a mentor from Philips India. These teams will have the opportunity to discuss their business plan with the mentor and refine their presentations.
Evaluation & Results : This is an on-campus round. The top 5 teams from each campus will present their business plan to a Philips senior leadership panel on campus. The winning team from each institute will be shortlisted for the grand finale – the Best of the Best round!
On-campus evaluation dates : To be announced at a later stage
Best of the Best : Round 4
What Philips expects from the participants : Further refine the business plan based on feedback from the Campus Crowns round. Present your business plan as you would to an investor community.
Mentorship by Philips Leaders : The top team from each institute will continue to receive mentorship and guidance from a senior Philips leader to strengthen the business plan.
Evaluation & Results : Teams will present their business plan to the Philips India Leadership Team. The top 3 teams of Blueprint 2014 will be announced at the end of this round.
