A Walk-in-Interview for Ad-hoc appointment on the post of Professor/Addl. Professor/Assoc. Professor : Radiation Oncology and Assistant Professor in the Department of Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Endocrinology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology & Pharmacology for a period of 06 (Six) months or till regular appointment (Whichever is earlier) has been fixed on 22-09-2014 from 11-00 AM in the office chamber of undersigned.

Interested Indian citizen, who fulfills the following essential qualification etc., are invited to participate in this Walk-in-Interview, along-with neatly typed bio-date or in the prescribed proforma and all supporting original documents, in proof of Age, Qualification/s, Registration, etc.

A. Essential Qualification for Professor: Broad Specialty
1. A Medical Qualification included in the I or II schedule or part– II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act. 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part– II or third schedule should also full fill the conditions specified in section 13 (3) of the Act.)
2. A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent there to in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience: 14 (Fourteen) years for Professor/ 10 (Ten) years for Addl. Professor / 06 (Six) years for Assoc. Professor teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./ M.S. or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

B. Essential Qualification for Assistant Professor: Broad Specialty/Super Specialty
1. A Medical Qualification included in the I or II schedule or part– II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act. 1956 (Persons possessing qualifications included in part– II or third schedule should also full fill the conditions specified in section 13 (3) of the Act.)
2. A postgraduate qualification e.g.. MD/MS or a recognized qualification equivalent there to in the respective discipline/subject. AND/OR
3. M.Ch. for Surgical Super-specialties and D.M. for Medical Super-specialties (02 Yrs. Or 03 Yrs. Or 05 Yrs. Recognized Course) or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Experience for Assistant Professor: Broad Specialty: 03 (Three) years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of M.D./ M.S. or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Experience for Assistant Professor: Super-specialty: 01 (One) Yr. teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Institution in the subject of specialty after obtaining the qualifying degree of D.M./M.Ch. (02 Yrs. Or 05 Yrs. Recognized course after MBBS) or qualification recognized equivalent thereto. However, no experience is necessary for the candidates possessing the 03 Yrs. Recognized Degree of D.M./M.Ch. or qualification recognized equivalent thereto.

Upper Age Limit: - 50 years (As on 30-09-2014)

Fee : The cost of application form is Rs. 500/- Five Hundred (Rs. 125/- One Hundred/& Twenty Five: for SC/ST candidates). The completed application form along-with requisite application fee, must be accompanying in shape of Demand Draft, drawn in favor of Director, IGIMS, Patna, payable at Patna.

ii) The qualification prescribed is minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make candidate/s eligible for interview. Based on bio-date, the Selection Committee of the Institute will select candidate/s for ad-hoc appointment. Candidate/s who are interested for interview, will have to produce all relevant documents, in proof of details furnished in their application at the time of Interview
