Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications (PGDM-C) :
MICA's flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications (PGDM-C) has set a remarkable pace for itself since its inception in 1994. The PGDM-C, equivalent to an MBA, has evolved into one of the premier programmes in the country, endorsed by 100 per cent campus placements with the best corporate houses in India and in recent times, abroad as well. MICA's stringent selection norms coupled with the rigour of the curriculum ensure a highly committed, creatively and innovatively anchored, professionally-oriented manager, skilled in the practice of Strategic Marketing and Communication for the industry and the society. This programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Association of Indian University (AIU), which equates it with an MBA degree. MICA compares favourably with the top B-Schools and top MBA colleges in India. It is, of course, considered to be the premier institute in Strategic Marketing and Communication.
Admissions Criteria :
i) Admission to the PGDM (C) programme requires a Bachelor's degree (in keeping with the 10 + 2 + 3 system) or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Candidates appearing for final examinations towards a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.
ii) Candidates who demonstrate aptitude for expressing, assessing or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results, tend to stand a better chance of being shortlisted.
iii) Candidates should apply to MICA with their scores of CAT2014 / XAT2014 /XAT2015 / MAT2014 (Feb/May/ Sept/Dec) / CMAT2014 (Feb / Sept) / ATMA2014 (Feb/May/July) / GMAT (2011 onwards).
How to Apply :
Application Process :
The selection process for the PGDM (C) 2015-17 involves two steps;
Stage - I :
MICA Admissions Test (MICAT) :
i) All candidates who apply to MICA with their scores of CAT2014 / XAT2014 / XAT2015 / MAT2014 (Feb/May/ Sept/Dec) / CMAT2014 (Feb / Sept) / ATMA2014 (Feb/May/July) / GMAT (2011 onwards), irrespective of their score, will be called for MICAT, subject to their application form being complete and accepted by MICA.
ii) MICAT is designed to assess analytical ability, verbal ability, logical reasoning, divergent thinking, written communication skills and general awareness about the communications industry.
iii) MICAT will be held in February / March 2015 at the following centres**
Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.
MICAT Application Fee : Rs. 1875.
Stage II :
Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) :
Based on their MICAT performance, shortlisted candidates will be called for Group Exercise and Personal Interview on MICA campus, Ahmedabad.
