STaRT stands for:

STaRT-2015 ( Scholarship & Talent Reward Test) is an aptitude cum bench-marking test to be conducted by Resonance to reach out, spot, reward & nurture talented students across the country and support them in fulfilling their career aspirations.

For a sincere & aspiring student, STaRT would provide a platform to showcase his/her talent to the nation which will boost his/her confidence to perform well in competitive examinations ahead & make a bright career.

STaRT-2015 would mean the following to a student:
1. A Knowledge Test
2. An Aptitude Test
3. A Benchmarking Test
4. A Talent Search Test
5. A Talent Recognition Test
6. A Test to win lot of rewards.
7. A Test to win huge Scholarship
8. A Test to select a Career Path.
9. A Test to foster Competitive spirit amongst the students.

The STaRT-2015 would be conducted for the students of Class-V to Class-XII of Private, Government and Government aided schools (All Boards) of any medium in Indian Territory and Schools outside India affiliated to CBSE Board Only.

4. Class VIII
5. Class IX
6. Class X
7. Class-XI (Science Stream: For Mathematics& Biology both)
8. Class-XII (Science Stream: For Mathematics& Biology both)
9. Class-XI (Open Stream: For all remaining streams except Science Stream i.e. Arts, Commerce, Agriculture, Fine Arts, Home Science, Vocational etc.)
10. Class-XII (Open Stream: For all remaining streams except Science Stream i.e. Arts, Commerce, Agriculture, Fine Arts, Home Science, Vocational etc.)

Please Note:
In Open Stream, Even the students of Science Stream (Class XI & XII) shall be allowed to compete. However, students from other streams shall NOT be allowed to compete in Science Stream.

Mode of Conducting :
Stage-I Test: OFFLINE (At School/Resonance Test Centre)
ONLINE (At www.resostart.in)
Stage-II Test: OFFLINE (Resonance Test Centre only)

Test Paper Structure: Stage-I
Stage-I Paper will be bilingual in English & Hindi. The 90 minute Test Paper will have single answer type 50 objective questions of 4 marks each. There will be negative marking of 1 mark. Break up of 50 questions will be as follows:
A. Class- 5 to 10: 15 questions - Mathematics, 10 questions - Mental Ability, 15 - Science and 10 - Social Science.
B. Class-11 & 12 (Mathematics/Biology): 15 questions - Physics, 10 - Chemistry, 10 - Mental Ability, & 15 - Mathematics/ Biology (As per student’s stream).
C. Class-11 & 12 (Open Stream: Non-Science): 20 questions - Quantitative Aptitude, 20 - General Awareness, 10 from English.

Test Paper Structure: Stage-II
Stage-I Paper will be bilingual in English & Hindi. The 120 minute Test Paper will have single answer type 75 objective questions of 4 marks each. There will be negative marking of 1 mark. Break up of 75 questions will be as follows:
A. Class- 5 to 10: 25 questions - Mathematics, 10 - Mental Ability, 25 - Science and 15 - Social Science.
B. Class-11 & 12 (Mathematics/Biology): 20 questions - Physics, 15 - Chemistry, 15 - Mental Ability, & 25 - Mathematics/Biology (As per students stream).
C Class-11 & 12 (Open Stream: Non-Science): 30 questions - Quantitative Aptitude, 25 - General Awareness, 20 - English.
Stage-II Test will be conducted at Resonance Test Centres only in traditional Pen & Paper Mode.
