Compartmental Examination:
It may kindly be noted that the Compartmental Examination is being introduced with effect from the SSLC Examination, 2015 vide Notification No.591 dated Tura, the 24th July, 2014. Under the new system a candidate who failed in the SSLC, 2014 Examination will be allowed to appear in the Compartmental Examination only in the failed subjects. Candidates who are desirous of appearing in the Compartmental Examination should note the following provisions :
(i) Candidates who failed in maximum 3 (three) subjects only shall be allowed to sit for Compartmental Examination.
(ii) The candidate will have to appear only in the Theory Paper, 80 Marks for those who have appeared as Candidates from affiliated and unaffiliated schools in the SSLC Examination, 2014. The Internal/Practical Marks of the previous examination will be carried over to the next examination.
(iii) A consolidated mark sheet will be issued only to those candidates who pass the Compartmental Examination, which would include the marks of the passed subjects of the previous examination and the current Compartmental Examination. The pass criteria of the best of 5 (five) subjects will apply.
(v) The candidates will be declared as “passed under Compartmental” which would be indicated in the mark sheet as well as in the Certificate.
(v) The prescribed fees as determined by the Board will have to be paid by the candidates.
(vi) The Compartmental candidates will have to fill up the forms meant only for this category.
(vii) In the light of the above provision, failed candidates of the SSLC, 2014 will have the option to appear either in all the 6 (six) subjects for hundred marks each as Private Candidates without selection test or only in 3 (three) or 2 (two) subjects or 1 (one) subject (i.e. only subjects failed) as Compartmental candidates.
(viii) The submission of form for such candidates shall be the same time with the Private candidates without Selection Test.
(a) The last date for submission of Forms and Fees to the Board by the Officers-in-Charge of the S.S.L.C. Examination Centres in respect of the Private candidates without Selection Test and Compartmental candidates is fixed on 15th October, 2014. These failed candidates (i.e., The candidates without Selection Test) will submit their Forms and Fees only to their respective S.S.L.C. Examination centres.
(b) The last date for submission of Forms and Fees, etc., by these candidates (i.e., Private without Selection Test and Compartmental Candidates) to the centres will be fixed by the concerned Officer-in-Charge of the S.S.L.C. Examination centre as per their convenience so as to enable them to complete the compilation and submit all the documents to the Board within the stipulated time as mentioned above i.e., on or before 15th October, 2014.
The Application forms and other related forms for the above categories will be available at the MBOSE Office, Tura/Shillong from the 15th of September, 2014. The Officers-in-Charge of the Examination Centres are requested to collect the following forms as per their requirement
A. (i) Application forms for those who have registered (Pre printed forms for failed candidates of 2014 Examination/blank forms for failed candidates prior to 2014 Examination).
(ii) Statement of Candidates Form No. 43A (Blank Statement for those who failed in the SSLC Examination, 2014/for failed Candidates prior to 2014 Examination and Form No. 43E for Compartmental Candidates.
(iii) Subject wise Statement of candidates (Form No. 39A)
(iv) Instructions for filling in Abbreviations of subjects (Form No. 39B)
(v) Statement of Fees (Form G-A) – For Private Candidate Without Test.
Separate statements of candidates are to be prepared in Triplicate category-wise as indicated below in the Form No. 43A & 43E. Under no circumstances, more than one category should be shown in the same sheet. One copy will be retained in the school office and the other 2 (two) copies are to be forwarded to the Board’s Office along with fees, Forms, etc. so as to reach this Office on or before the 15th of October, 2014 positively.
DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION FORM:
Attested photostat copy of the Marks Sheet and Admit Card are to be submitted for the purpose of verification whether the candidate had once appeared and failed the SSLC Examination, 2014 or earlier Examinations.
EXAMINATION FEES:
Private Candidates without Selection Test (who have registered): Rs 880/- (Rs. 230.00 Examination fee; Rs. 120 .00 Mark Sheet fee; Rs. 60.00 Admit Card fee; Rs. 120.00 Certificate fee; Rs150.00 Centre fee; and Rs. 200.00 Permission Fee).
Compartmental Candidates - Private Candidates without Selection Test (failed candidates in the SSLC Examination, 2014) : Rs 770/- (Rs.120.00 Examination fee; Rs.120 .00 Mark Sheet fee; Rs. 60.00 Admit Card fee; Rs. 120.00 Certificate fee; Rs150.00 Centre fee; and Rs. 200.00 Permission Fee).
LATE FINE:
Due to late submission of fees, forms, etc., by the schools/centres, the Board has been facing a great inconveniences with regard to time and additional financial obligation to print the statements etc. of latecomers. In view of this, the Board has decided as follows:
(a) Fees and forms submitted up to the fifth day after the last date of submission of fees and forms fixed by the Board, a late fine of Rs. 800.00 (Rupees eight hundred) only per page of each statement (Form 43-A) will have to be paid by the school concerned.
(b) After the fifth day, no fees and forms forwarded by the schools/centres will be accepted by the Board.
(c) Fees and forms will not be accepted directly from the candidates.
The fees collected from the candidates are to be remitted to the Board, by Bank Draft from the Meghalaya Co-operative Apex Bank/State Bank of India pledged in favour of the Executive Chairman, Meghalaya Board of School Education, Tura payable at Tura or the fees may also be paid by direct remittance to MBOSE account number 11308055133, State Bank of India, New Tura Branch or direct transfer through internet banking to the account number above while depositing the forms and fees, the original copy of the counter foil of direct remittance or the printed copy of the net banking transaction should be attached along with the application forms. Head of the Institutions concerned are advised to keep a photo copy of the counter foil as school office copy. The Centre Fee should be retained by the Officer-in-Charge of the respective centre.
