Pay Band and Academic grade pay : PB-3 with Grade pay of Rs. 6000/- + 07 additional noncompounded increments PB – 3 of Rs. 15600/- - 39100/- with GP of Rs. 6000/- p.m.
Essential qualification :First class post graduate with Ph.D. in relevant discipline and having consistently very good academic record
Additional Desirable requirements :One publication in an SCI Journal

2 Designation : Assistant Professor (On contract)
Pay Band and Academic grade pay : PB-3 of Rs. 15600/- - 39100/- with Grade pay of Rs. 7000/-
Essential qualification :First class post graduate with Ph.D. in relevant discipline and having consistently very good academic record
Relevant experience : 01 year
Other essential requirements : One paper accepted for publication in SCI Journal
Additional Desirable requirements :Two papers in SCI journals or one patent; may be based on Ph.D. work

3 Designation : Assistant Professor
Pay Band and Academic grade pay : PB-3 of Rs. 15600/- - 39100/- with Grade pay of Rs. 8000/- (Regular)
Essential qualification : First class post graduate with Ph.D. in relevant discipline and having consistently verygood academic record
Relevant experience : 03 years after Ph.D. or 06 years total (not counting Ph.D. enrolment period) after obtaining M.Tech. degree
Other essential requirements : 02 papers in SCI journals outside Ph.D. work. One ongoing sponsored project for candidates from academia. Two experiments or computational projects added to teaching laboratories where appropriate.
Additional Desirable requirements : One Ph.D. supervision ongoing; 01 Patent; Experience in industry or R & D lab of repute; M.Tech., M.Sc. or B.Tech. project supervision on live industrial problems.

Common Essential Educational Requirements :
1 Superior academic record at all levels from high school onwards.
2 For Engineering disciplines: First class in BE/B.Tech./B.Arch. or equivalent and in ME/M.Tech./M.Arch. or equivalent with PhD in relevant discipline. B. Tech. with direct Ph.D. may also be considered.
3 For Non-Engineering disciplines: Ph.D. degree with first class degree at UG & PG level.
4 Candidates from Industry (or comparable organisations) without Ph.D. degree: Such candidates may be considered for recruitment as Assistant Professor, if he/she has substantial professional and R&D experience supported with good number of publications in leading journals of the field, the candidate being the lead author.

Application fee : For Gen/OBC candidates will be Rs. 500/- and for SC/ST/PWD candidates will Rs. 250/-. For the candidates applying from abroad, application fee will be USD 50$.
