The Agricultural Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) will hold an open Competitive Examination to the post of Assistant in the Pay Band ( PB ) – II : 9300 – 34800/- + Grade Pay (GP) of 4600 at ICAR Headquarters (ICAR Hqrs.), New Delhi and 4200 at ICAR Research Institutes as per the scheme of Examination explained in Appendix – I. The Preliminary Examination will be followed by a Main Examination for those who will qualify in the Preliminary Examination. The Preliminary Examination will be conducted by on-line mode. Final merit list of successful candidates will be released only after the result of the Main Examination is announced and will be based on the marks obtained in the Main Examination only. (All criteria regarding Cut- offs for each category will be fixed by the ASRB at its own discretion and will be final and binding).

Educational Qualifications: Candidate must be a Graduate from a recognized University. A candidate must hold a Degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act, of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possesses an equivalent qualification.
NOTE I: Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognized by Government as equivalent to professional and technical degree will also be eligible for admission to the examination.
NOTE II: Candidates who have appeared at an examination the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the Council’s examination, but have not been informed of the result and also the candidates who intended to appear at such a qualifying examination will not be eligible for admission to this examination.
NOTE III: The candidates must possess original or provisional Bachelor Degree and for that the crucial cut-off date will be 29.08.2014.

Age Limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must have not attained the age of 27 years as on 29.09.2014. But the upper age limit is relaxable up to 45 years in the case of serving regular employees of ICAR in the administrative (ministerial) category
