National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Examination, 2014 :
Online applications are invited from 07-08-2014 to 08-09-2014 from the meritorious students of class-VIII of Government, Local Body and Government Sponsored or Government Aided schools having 55% (50% in case of SC/ST) marks in the previous annual examination and whose parental income is not more than Rs.1.5 lac. For submission of online applications the willing students may visit S.E. Department’s website www.wbsed.gov.in.

The hard copy of the application after online submission along with duly signed, authenticated and attested Annual Income Certificate of the parents (mandatory for all), Mark-sheet of Class VII Annual Examination, Caste and Disability Certificate(s) (if applicable) must be submitted to District Inspector of Schools (SE) concerned by 8th September, 2014 for appearing at the NMMS Examination 2014 to be held on 2nd November 2014.

The specimen copy of the application form may also be available in the office of the District Inspector of Schools. Willing and eligible candidates may also collect the same and submit duly filled-in application along with requisite papers to the office of the District Inspector of Schools (SE) of his/her district within 08-09-2014.

If you are interested to apply for National-Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship ( NMMS ), 2014and meet the following criteria :
(1) Student of class VIII and secured 55% marks in last annual examination .
(2) Studying in any Govt./Govt . Sponsored/Govt.Aided/Local body institution .
(3) Parental Income below or upto Rs. 1.5 lakh/ year.
(4) Please note that students studying in any Residential School like NavodayaVidyalaya /Sainik School are not eligible for the said examination.

Admission (Admit) Card :
Admission (Admit) Card for the eligible candidates will have to be downloaded from the website www.wbsed.gov.in ten (10) days before the Examination. The Admission (Admit) cards may also be collected by the candidates in person from the office of the District Inspector of Schools (SE) of the concerned District.

I am Ankit Banerjee. I have passed the NMMSE exam in 2014. My roll number is 1123140201171. I appeared in the exam from Sodepur High School and I was FIRST in Barrackpur Zone from West Bengal. I got 130 marks in total out of 180. But I did not got any scholarship money . I want to apply for that.

I am Sayak Sarkar, a student of class xi in Rajbalhat High School. I have given the NMMS exam in the year 2014. The result of that exam is published in 2015 and I have qualified the exam with 109 marks out of 180, and become the highest marks scorer in our area. The distribution of the prize money of the scholarship has started in the late July this year. All have received their money except me instead of being the top scorer in the area. Why this is happening? Why I’m not getting the prize money? I belong to a middle class family and my family critically needs that money. Please give an eye on this case as soon as possible.
