Children with Special Needs :
The key objective of SSA and the subsequent RTE act is Universalization of Elementary Education (UEE) viz. Access, Enrolment & Retention of all children. The RTE Act has given a new thrust to the education of Children with Special Needs (CWSN), as without their inclusion in regular school objective of universalization of education will not achieved Therefore Inclusive Education is one of the important component under SSA. The State has taken initiative specially focus on Child Centre coverage plan of CWSN to reach services every door step through multi option model.

While implementing the intervention, activities has been taken like, Identification of CWSN, Medical Assessment and Rehabilitation Support Services, Educational Support Services etc. and strives for ensuring Quality education to CWSN in inclusive setup with non disabled peer group, to make them socially integrate.

Identification of CWSN :
Primary stage identification of CWSN done with the help of experts from rehabilitation field.

Medical assessment Camp :
The Medical assessment camps are organized through NRHM, PHC camps, Block, civil hospitals, Medical Colleges, medical trusts and educational rehabilitation institutions of Maharashtra. The expert team assesses and recommends various support services to the identify CWSN according to disabilities in the camp. The educational, vocational and other rehabilitation options are also being decided at the camp.

Corrective Surgery :
Those CWSN having problem in Muscles, Joint deformities & contractures Tongue tie & cleft Palate, Squint were referred for surgery from block level camp. As per line of treatment 34000 corrective surgeries have been done.

Transition from Home base to regular school :
During educational assessment & field visit state were identified the needs of the children with special need to occupy in regular school with the help of care giver. As soon as semi resource room develop for activities of daily leaving & development of sensory motor & communication at CRC level.

Capacity Building through Multi Category Training :
There has been a substantial expansion of variety of activities for bringing the children in Elementary Education & transit forms home to school & school to class. As well as there were remains a lot challenges of providing quality education. The challenge has different dimensions like effective onsite support, evaluation process and availability of existing infrastructure, right kind of learning materials how to be used for students, in stipulated time.

Children With Special Needs (CWSN) Tracking System :
1) Type the URL http://mpsp.maharashtra.gov.in/cwsn/login.aspx in the browser
2) The page will get loaded into browser.
3) Click on the login button with the state coordinator login. [User name :SC_Maharashtra and password:pass AT 123]
4) Click on the radio button state level on clicking it the list of district will get populated in the district dropdown on the selecting district the block, cluster and village will get populated in respective dropdown.
5) To view the record click on the search button after selecting the district,block,cluster as well as villages the list of records corresponding to selection criteria gets displayed.
6) To view the record of particular district go to login page by clicking on logout link and login into the application with district_co-ordinator say pune then user id will be DC_Pune and password will be pass AT 123 then following screen will get appear.
7) In this there is only one value that gets populated in the district dropdown that correspond to the district name for which we are login i.e. pune.
8) In this all block, cluster and village selection occurs correspond to district pune.
9) Now select the block->cluster->village correspond to district pune and click on the search button then list will get displayed related to search criteria.
10) To view the record of particular block login into the application with the block login. Say the block name is Mulshi then user name will be BRP_Pune_Mulshi and password will be pass AT 123 then following page will get loaded into the browser. On the top of the page the district name, block name as well as user name (corresponding to the block) gets appeared.
11) In this the district name as well as block name is fix. The cluster as well as village selection gets occurred correspond to the block of the particular district. The district->block->cluster->village where district and block is fixed. On selecting the cluster corresponding villages will gets appeared. On clicking the search button the records correspond to given search criteria gets displayed.
11) To add the CWSN record for state, login into the application with state coordinator login. Click on the search button after selecting the district->block->cluster->village now the list of the villages gets appeared
12) Now click on the particular dice code for which we have to add CWSN record. On clicking particular dice code
13) In this school related information as well as other information are fixed like dice code, school name, district, city, village. We have to enter the personal information.
14) To view the CWSN record login through state coordinator. Go to option list select the district for which we want to view the record. Click on the search button then list of record gets displayed along with the edit and view option.
