Applications in prescribed form are invited from the eligible candidates, giving the details such as full name, complete residential address, date of birth, educational qualifications, employment registration number, domicile certificate of 15 years residence in Goa etc. by the Director of Printing and Stationery, Panaji-Goa to fill up the following posts;

I) Name of the post : Stenographer
No. of post : One post, Category General
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 + GP Rs.2400
Essential Qualification :
(1) Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
(2) Should be Computer Literate
(3) Speed of 100 words per minute in Short Hand and 35 words per minute in typewriting
(4) Knowledge of Konkani
Desirable:- Knowledge of Marathi.

II) Name of the post : Reader Gr. II

Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200+Grade Pay Rs.2400
Essential Qualification :
(1) Graduation from a recognized University.
(2) Proficiency in English and Hindi
(3) 2 years experience in Proof Reading
(4) Should pass the qualifying trade test.
(5) Knowledge of Konkani,
Desirable:- Knowledge of Marathi.

III) Name of the post : Offset Machineman

Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200+Grade Pay Rs.2800
Essential Qualification :
1) Passed S.S.C.E. or its equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution.
2) Diploma in Printing Technology from a recognized Institution.
3) At least 3 years experience in operating Offset Machines of different makes.
4) Knowledge of four colour Printing Job subject to qualified in the trade test.
5) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable:- Knowledge of Marathi.

IV) Name of the post : Compositor

Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs.5200-20200+GP Rs.1900
Essential Qualification :
1) Secondary School Certificate Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution.
2) Certificate of successful completion of Apprenticeship under the Apprentice Act,1961 (Central Act 52 of 1961) in the trade of Composing or equivalent, with proficiency in English, Devnagri with 2 years experience as a Compositor in Printing Press.
(3) Knowledge of Computer
(4) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable:- Knowledge of Marathi.

V) Name of the post : Assistant Mechanic
No. of post : Two posts, One OBC, One Ex-serviceman
Scale of Pay : Rs. PB-1 Rs. 5200-20200+GP Rs.1900
Essential Qualification :
(1) Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a recognized University or Institution with;
(a) one year experience of maintenance/repairing of printing and allied equipments in a Institution/Press or
(b) Ability to read the name of spare parts of Machines used in printing industry (other than lino/mono type) and casting machines/ including lathe and other machines workshop and off servicing and maintenance of offset and other machines. OR
(1) Certificate issued by Industrial Training Institute in the trade or equivalent from a recognized Institute with 3 years experience in the trade (Mechanical).
(2) Should pass the qualifying trade test.
(3) Knowledge of Konkani,
Desirable:- Knowledge of Marathi.

VI) Name of the post : Labourer
No. of post : 3 Posts, Two General Category, One OB
Scale of Pay : RS 4440-7440+GP RS.1300
Essential Qualification : Middle School or equivalent qualification preferably in English.
Age : The age of the eligible candidates should not exceed 42 years as on the last date of receipt of applications i.e. 25th August, 2014.

How to Apply:
i) The prescribed application form and details of eligibility conditions such as educational qualifications, pay scale etc. may be downloaded from the departments website.

ii) The candidates who are unable to download the details from the website can obtain a copy of the same from the sales counter of Govt. Printing Press, Panaji after payment of Rs. 20/- in cash.

iii) The Department will conduct trade test for the technical posts and computer literacy & typing/shorthand test for Stenographer. Only those candidates who pass above tests will be called for oral interview. The last date for receipt of applications complete in all respects accompanied by self-attested copies of all testimonials/certificates and two recent passport size photographs is 25th August, 2014 in the office of
