The University of Delhi wishes to admit students on an all India basis, to pursue Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research (ACBR). The focus of research is on Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, Medical Biotechnology, Molecular Genetics, Genome Biology, Human Physiology, Organic Chemistry, Molecular Oncology, Cell Biology, Natural Product Chemistry, Medical Microbiology, Immunology, Pharmacology and Toxicology. The Center is equipped with research facilities, state-of-the-art teaching rooms, research laboratories and collaborates with neighbouring research institutions like CSIR- Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB), Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) and the Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), National Institute of Immunology (NII), International Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB).

Eligibility: Master’s Degree in the appropriate field of Science, M.Tech., M.V.Sc., M. Pharma or M.D. with a minimum of 55% marks or B.Tech., MBBS with 70% and 60% marks or equivalent grades respectively. The candidate MUST have a Junior Research Fellowship from either CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT or from projects funded by CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT/DST/DRDO or equivalent funding agencies. As per UGC guidelines, the students at the time of registration to Ph.D. must have financial assistance for a period of at least two years.

i) Applications are invited on plain paper along with a copy of the CV and a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 400/- for SC/ST and PWD candidates). Candidates are required to submit a Statement of purpose in their area of interest (please see above for areas).
