AGE ON NEXT BIRTH DAY WHILE CALCULATING COMMUTATION OF PENSION

With due respect I submit that a query ID No. 2014091612920407 dated 16.09.2104 was raised by me on Knowledge Help Line of State Bank of India. The query and reply is as under :

Query :
If a birthday of an employee is 2.10.2014, his retirement date as per Bank’s norms will be 31.10.2014. For calculation of commutation of pension as on 31.10.2014, age on next birth day is taken as 61. Alternatively if a birth day of an employee is 01.10.1954, his retirement date as per Bank’s norms is 30.09.2014 say one month early. For calculation of commutation of pension as on 30.09.2014, please advise what age on next birth (which will be on 01.10.2014 say after date of retirement) will be taken into account for calculating commutation of pension.

However Income Tax is being deducted from Pension Account. My pension account No.10595653956 with Mulund W Br.code No.3225. Kindly look into the matter and note not to deduct Income Tax from my Pension.
