Research Topic
Genetic variability, correlation and path coefficient analysis in F4 inter-specific progenies of Pigeon pea.

Summary
Was attached to the AICRP pulse project that was undertaken by G.B.Pant University, my objective was to develop high yielding varieties with multiple disease and helicoverpa armigera resistance in pigeon pea. So through inter-specific cross between cultivated type and wild types (C.Scarabacoids) there is a transfer of desirable gene which results to less damage to pods.

Outreach Activities

- Participated in short term projects of crop improvement held at Kesan Mela, Pantnagar in 2009 & worked as project head through which I got the opportunity to interact with farmers.

- Understanding current farming practices.

- Suggest crop improvement practices to the farmers.
