Job Description
** Lead, manage and deliver Laboratory QA/QC component of construction works projects through the application of contemporary QA/QC, project and team management techniques.
** Deliver effective outcomes for complex construction projects by carefully selecting and implementing Laboratory QA/QC strategies.
** Ensure construction project objectives are met by maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contractors.
Enhance best practice for cost effective delivery and accountability of construction projects by proactively building Laboratory management strategies into policies, practices and systems.
** Monitor and report on Laboratory related QA/QC performance of construction works projects by capturing data and status of QA/QC against targets.
** Build QA/QC department’s capability for effective and flexible management by participating in learning and rotation programs.

Desired Candidate Profile
** Minimum BSc in Civil/ Building/ Construction discipline
** Must have minimum of Six Years hands on experience in Construction QA/ QC field
** Well conversant (To understand, implement and maintain procedures) with standard codes/ specifications relevant to construction materials/products (e.g. Soil, Concrete ingredients and concrete, bricks, Wooden elements, Finishing material/ product, NDT, reinforcement steel, mechanical items)
** Preparation of Concrete Mix Designs
** To perform visits for pre-inspection for approval of material sources
** Control of monitoring and measuring equipments/ apparatus
** Witness of testing/ Verification of material properties
** To give suggestions regarding quality parameters for the various activities being carried out at laboratory.
** Monitoring the conformance of characteristics of the product to the applicable specifications/ drawing/ design/ other documents
** Verification of the actions taken for detected NC/ OBS and reporting of verification results.
** To maintain documents and records generated during the testing of materials/ product in SICMTL/ Contractor’s laboratory/ External laboratory to perform statistical analysis of these test results at every month
** Extensive experience in leading and managing all aspects of capital works projects, within a complex corporate environment
** Proven leadership and management skills, including proven ability to develop staff and implement change /continuous improvement programs.
Superior relationship management , communication, and negotiating skills to represent corporate interests and priorities and manage outcomes.
