RBI's Online Application Tracking System :
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has set up an online "Application Tracking System" for a common person to submit and track the status of the submitted Application.

How to File an Application :
To file an Application, the applicant must have their credentials on the record of the Reserve Bank of India. Initially, any person having a valid e-mail id can login to "Application Tracking System" by clicking on New User. Thereafter, users can file an Application along with facts of the case supported by documents, if any.

How to Track the status of an already filed Application :
To track the status of an already filed / submitted application, the applicant must login with email id and password as recorded with this site

New User Registration :
New Application :
1. After successful login user can raise new applications by clicking on Applications ->New Application link in the menu.
2. User can create a new application and keep it in DRAFT status for 48 hours. Each DRAFT application is available to the users up to 48 hours from the last saved date and time, after which it will be automatically deleted.
3. User can also attach copies of any supporting documents for the already saved application.
4. The saved applications can be edited and submitted to RBI.
5. Once user submits the application to RBI, a notification e-mail will be sent to the email id registered with RBI along with the application details. User needs to keep this e-mail carefully for reference and further communication with RBI.

My Applications :
1. User can view the existing applications raised by him/her having various statuses like 'DRAFT', 'UNDER PROCESS' , 'REDIRECTED' , 'CLOSED' by clicking on Applications -> My Applications link in the menu.
2. User can edit or delete only the applications which have status as 'DRAFT'.
3. User can only view or print the applications which have status as 'UNDER PROCESS' , 'REDIRECTED' or 'CLOSED'.

User Profile :
1. User can edit his/her profile details by clicking on User Profile -> Update Profile link in the menu.
2. User can not change the e-mail with which he/she is registered with RBI.

Change Password :
1. User can edit his/her Password by clicking on User Profile -> Change Password link in the menu.

The Authentication Code policy is as follows
:
i. It should contain both upper and lower case characters (e.g.a-z, A-Z).
[b][u]ii. It should have digits and punctuation characters as well as letters e.g., 0-9! @#$%^&*()_[]{}:?<>? /
iii. The minimum Password length is of 8 characters.
iv. The Password is case sensitive
v. Example : Rbi AT 1234

Note :
** Once user successfully changes the Password, user will be logged out and redirected to the Login Screen. User needs to re-login into the application with changed Password.
** The user id will be locked after 3 unsuccessful login attempts. User can unlock it on clicking 'Forgot Password' link on the login screen. New Password will be mailed to the user.

Important :
The RBI's online Application Tracking System can be accessed via a web browser over the Internet.

The following list provides details on system requirements for the application to function correctly :
** You will need a web browser that has JavaScript activated and Cookies enabled.

Know More About Application Tracking System (ATS) :
1. What is the ATS :
The ATS is an Application Tracking System, hosted on the public website of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), which has been developed for members of the public to submit any individual application to RBI and keep track of the status of its disposal thereafter.

2. What is an application :
An application can be any application, addressed to any department of RBI, through which members of the public can apply (except such applications for which specific instructions have been given regarding mode of submission, etc.)

3. How can the ATS be accessed :
A link to ATS has been provided in the RBI website www.rbi.org.in.

4. Who receives the application :
The Department / Office selected by the applicant, while submitting his/her application through ATS, will receive the application.

5. How does the ATS work :
i. A first time user should register through ATS using his/her valid email id.
ii. A system generated Password will be forwarded to the applicant’s email id.
iii. Thereafter, the applicant can login and submit his/her application and track the same.
iv. As soon as an application is submitted through ATS, a unique application number is generated and forwarded to the applicant by the system.
v. A mail is sent by the system automatically when the application is disposed of or transferred from one office / department / section to another.

6. Can the ATS application be transferred to any other office / department / section :
Yes. The applicant will immediately receive a mail conveying details of the original office / department where the application was submitted and the details of the office / department / section to which it has been transferred. The information can also be ascertained through ATS by the applicant under ’My Application’. The entire history will be shown.

7. What happens when an application is transferred to another office / department :
The application is automatically inwarded in the receiving office/ department and marked to the administrator of that department.

8. Whether any attachment can be sent along with application :
Yes. One or more documents can be uploaded along with the application. However each document size should not exceed 1 MB.

9. Whether applications submitted physically at the counters of RBI or sent through post can also be tracked through the ATS :
Yes. ATS is also available for all applications / letters, etc. submitted physically at the counters of RBI or received through post/courier, provided a valid email id is given in the document. Receipt of all such applications as also its disposal will be advised to the applicant through email.
Additionally, the status of such applications can also be tracked through the ATS number and the password sent to the valid email id of the applicant.
