Job Description
ATIRA has well equipped Micro Biological Laboratory, which is giving services to various Producers of Medical Textiles. The lab has been recommended for NABL Accreditation and we are in the process of expanding the scope of testing specially in the area such as Water, Food, Fruits and Non-woven textiles and GMO Textiles.
To cater to future needs of this laboratory, ATIRA needs professionals at various levels.

Desired Candidate Profile
M.Sc. / Ph.D. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry.
Knowledge of ISO 17025 will be added qualification
Experience in testing of packaged Drinking Water and /or Food & Fruit articles will be added advantage.
Knowledge of GOTS (Global Organic Textiles Standards) & REACH (Registration, Evaluation & Authorization of Chemicals) will be added advantage.

Prof. G. Seshagiri Rao, in the project entitled “Effect of
UV irradiation on production of citric acid by Aspergillus nigerMTCC
281” which was awarded for my M.Phil degree.

M.Phil work in brief: Enhancement of citric acid production by Aspergillus niger MTCC 281 employing physical mutagenisis (U.V. Irradiation) was attempted under identical fermentation conditions. Among different UV exposure times, 1 minute irradiation has shown higher citric acid production when compared to lower and higher exposure times. Also considerable decrease in citric acid production in higher exposure times was noticed. It is here by concluded that U.V. mutations can be successfully employed for enhancement of citric acid production by Aspergillus niger MTCC 281.
2006 – todate : I am working as part-time Lecturer in Biochemistry in “Prema Sagari College of Nursing and Physiotherapy” from last 4 years.

The main aim of our study was to find out alterations of serum proteins, Albumins and Globulins in nephrotic syndrome patients.
50 cases of nephrotic syndrome were admitted in King George hospital Visakhapatnam were selected for our study. The diagnosis is based on history; clinical analysis; biochemical investigations; etc
Alterations of proteins, albumins and globulins; in nephrotic syndrome cases and controls were carried out in the department of biochemistry Andhra medical collage Vishakhapatnam. The alterations of serum albumins and globulins were analyzed and statistically evaluated.
