The numbers in the bracket indicate the tentative number of the posts to be filled. Candidates showing good teaching record may be given extension for next semester starting from December 2014 to May 2015, depending upon the requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Engineering Departments: Masters degree with BE/B Tech in First Class or equivalent grade in the appropriate branch of Engineering.
2. Science Departments : Master’s Degree in Science (Respective Discipline), desirable M. Phil/Ph. D
3. Humanities Department: Master’s Degree in English, desirable M. Phil/Ph. D
The persons with higher qualifications & good academic record shall be given preference.

Consolidated remuneration (without any allowances):
M.Sc./M.A. – Rs. 25, 000 per month
M.E./M.Tech/ M. Phil– Rs. 30 000 per month
Ph.D. – Rs. 35 000 per month

ii) Only eligible candidates are invited for walk-in selection process which may include written test/personal interview on 21st July 2014 at 9.30 to 10.00 AM (morning) in the respective departments. Candidates reporting after 10.00 AM shall not be considered for the selection. Candidate should bring the filled in form with them in prescribed format, (which can be downloaded from the website with passport size photo affixed on it), Bio-data, relevant original certificates & one set of attested copies of these certificates alongwith Id proof. Even though these are temporary position, VNIT will make all the efforts to fulfill reservation norms as per the GoI policy. The applicants are required to mention the category in their application form.
