    Job Description
    LOBBY
    1. To Coordinate proactively with the concierge for airport pickup.
    2. To go through the arrival list thoroughly and mark on the preferences and profile notes to be used in the talk lines.
    3. To ensure all A&D entries are legibly noted with accurate information.
    4. To ensure that C-Forms are made for all foreign nationals with accurate information and sent to the FRRO office every day.
    5. To store all used A&D registers in the Front Office Record Room
    6. To inform the Duty Manager of all scanty baggage arrivals.
    7. To safeguard the payment from the guests with little or no luggage.
    8. To follow the standard registration procedure on scanty baggage guests.
    9. To ensure all credit cards signed imprints are kept in the cash drawer and travel agent vouchers, gift vouchers and BTC’s are slotted in the BTC piano file.
    10. To note all instructions in the Log Book.
    11. To follow up log points and leave detailed feedback for the next shift.
    12. To be skilled in up selling of rooms and cross selling of other services and facilities in the hotel.
    13. To be knowledgeable about Priority Club and InterContinental Ambassador programs and to actively enroll guests in the programs.
    14. To help department achieve target of the Priority Club membership, IC Ambassador and up selling.
    15. To handle guest feedback in accordance with the hotel policy, reporting all feedback in the GRE online and also informing the next level report of critical incidents.
    16. To have a sound knowledge of the local environment such as restaurants and shopping areas within the city.
    17. Extend immediate and complete attention to guest requests/complaints.
    18. Maintain follow-up action - reverting to Guest in person / over the phone / leaving a message.
    19. Ensure guest satisfaction during the course of stay.
    20. To assist in securing external guest accommodation should an over-booking occur and coordinate accommodation, transportation and if necessary return arrangements of turn away guests.
    21. Conducts guest profile interviews with the regular and VIP guests and update the same in the profile notes.
    22. Updation of guest profiles in PMS.

    CASHIERING
    23. To convert foreign currency into Indian currency for in-house foreigners / NRI guests only and issue corresponding encashment certificates.
    24. To issue safe lockers to in-house guests and keep proper control of the locker keys.
    25. To maintain proper records of the safe keys in their custody.
    26. To give tax exemption to an authorized diplomatic mission / UN agencies after filling up the Certificates as mentioned in the procedure.
    27. To transfer the charges as per the guest request by following their set procedures.
    28. To refer to the Duty Manager in case passing any allowance, adjustment or paying money through a paid out and to get the voucher signed during your shift.
    29. To issue an IOU for official purposes after taking proper authorization as written in the procedures.
    30. When the system is not working, to post outlet checks manually in the system.
    31. To make a miscellaneous voucher for all charges other than those of a regular nature and the amount to be debited to the Guest Folio.
    32. To post the room charges i.e. retention charges, half day, full day as per set procedures.
    33. To confirm the last minute consumption from each outlet and post the same, if any.
    34. To take the guest’s check out, collect the payment and settle the bills in different modes i.e. cash, credit card, bill to co & travel agent etc. as per the set procedures and sort out their queries, if any.
    35. To ensure that the float money is properly maintained and proper hand / take over to the next shift cashier is recorded in the register.
    36. To collect the reimbursement from the General Cashier on a daily basis with all types of denominations.
    37. To prepare the Cashier’s summary sheet with the help of receipts, paid outs, encashment certificates and tally the same with the account code report.
    38. To check and verify the cash collection, foreign currency and other collection with the concerned reports, prepare the remittance envelope and drop at the end of the shift in the drop safe box, as per the set procedure.
    39. To witness the deposit of remittance envelopes by the previous shift’s Cashier / Micros Cashier in the drop safe.
    40. To ensure that the departure cards are filled and given to the guests for baggage clearance.
    41. The billing should be checked for the IC Ambassador and the folios should be kept ready in the INSTANT CHECK OUT slots.
    42. The bills of next day departures should be sent to the guests in the “Departure Assistance” envelope.
    43. The bills of long stay guests should be made closed every weekly and full and final bills to be sent to their rooms a day prior.
