Applications are invited for the following posts tenable at TCIS Hyderabad:

1. Name of the post : SCIENTIFIC OFFICER (E)
No. of post : One Post [Unreserved] by direct recruitment ;
Pay Band (PB-3) : Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay Rs. 7600/- ;
TME : Rs. 74,250/- ;
HQ : Hyderabad.
Qualification : Ph. D in (Experimental) Physics with at least 7 years of post-doctoral experience.
Essential expertise:
i) Knowledge and experience in optical pumping techniques to spin polarize atomic gases
ii) Experience in laser excitation and optical measurements.
iii) Experience in frequency stabilization and control of narrow linewidth CW laser systems, laser amplifiers and related automation.
iv) Laboratory automation, computer interfacing of experiments, and data acquisition hardware and software including LabView.
v) Familiarity with computing packages like Matlab / Mathematica.
Desirable:
i) Experience and ability to guide graduate level student projects in the laboratory. ii) Familiarity with vacuum techniques, magnetic shielding and basic electronics.
iii) General laboratory and inventory management.
Job Description: The candidate is expected to carry out research in the broad areas of optical pumping, enhancement of nuclear polarization, and their application in magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging, and investigating other related effects. The candidate is expected to take part in teaching of graduate level courses and mentoring students for Ph.D. in association with other faculty in TCIS, TIFR, Hyderabad. Candidates should send a complete C.V. including a publication list, a statement outlining their suitability.

HQ : Hyderabad.
Qualification: The Candidate should have a Ph.D. in magnetic resonance related fields with a good academic record.
Experience: 2 years of post-doctoral experience in magnetic resonance.
Job Requirement: The candidate must be willing to learn different aspects of magnetic resonance spectroscopy, carry out the routine operations of the centre and training programmes, interface with users, and take care of the maintenance of the spectrometers. The candidate will be assisted in the job by the NMR faculty and an engineer. Candidates should send a complete C.V. including a publication list, a statement outlining their suitability.
