Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end-users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair for remote users as needed.
2. Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software in order to deliver required desktop service levels.
3. Assess the need for and implement performance upgrades to PC boxes
4. Collaborate with LAN engineer/network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company's computing environment.
5. Where required, administer and resolve issues with associated end-user workstation networking software products.
6. Answer to and perform moves, adds, and changes (MAC) requests as they are submitted by line managers.
7. Ensure that physical desktop connections are in proper working order.
8. Prepare tests and applications for monitoring desktop performance, then provide performance statistics and reports.
9. Assist in preparing, maintaining, and upholding procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations.
10. Develop and maintain an inventory of all computer related components and equipment.
11. Accurately document instances of desktop equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal.
12. Conduct research on desktop products in support of PC procurement and development efforts. Evaluate and recommend products for purchase.
13. Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future desktop hardware needs.

B. 3+ years equivalent work experience.
C. MUST have excellent job stability with strong employment tenure.
D. Certifications in A+, Network +, Microsoft Certified Professional.
E. Excellent technical knowledge of PC and desktop hardware
F. Excellent technical knowledge of PC internal components
G. Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
H. Technical equipment support experience
I. Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards
J. Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
K. Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
L. Ability to conduct research into PC issues and products as required.
M. Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building skills.
N. Strong written and oral communication skills.
O. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
