Technical :
Ec Marathon :
** Are you that curious guy who loves to fiddle around with circuits
** Come on, join the race in our new event called EC Marathon.
** This demanding event will put you through the paces and test your electronics aptitude, understanding and practical skills.
Rules :
1. Team of two or three students.
2. Total 3 rounds will be conducted.
3. Problem statements will be given at the spot.
Elimination Round:
** The round consists of 20 objective type questions invloving basic analog electronics, aptitude and basic programming.
** +3 for every correct ans and -1 for wrong answer.
** 12 teams will qualify for round 2.
Hurdle Round:
** There will be a 10 subjective (1-3 word answer) questions.
** There will be no negative marking.
** The first six high scoring team wiil be qualified for next round.
The Final Sprint:
** A problem statement will be given on the spot in which you will be given Input and Outputs of a black box.
** You have to design the circuit of the black-box on a breadboard.
** The circuit will be evaluated by the judges.
Note :
1. All the things participant may require, will be made available during the event. eg Datasheets components ,CRO, function generator etc.
2. The Organizers hold the power to eliminate any team in case they are found to use any unfair means.

Electro-Maniac :
First Round : (Elimination round)
1. The first round will consist of an Objective Quiz.
2. The Questions will be based on basic digital electronics.
3. The result will be announced within 30 minutes.
Second Round : (Instant circuit designing)
1. In second round a problem statement will be given to the selected participants.
2. The participants are required to implement the solution in breadboard.
3. Internet facility will be provided in second round only for browsing the datasheets of ICs etc.
4. A list of available of items will be made available to all.
5. You may ask for any component available in the lab.
6. The time duration for second round is 3 hours.
7. Use of microcontroller and FPGA are prohibited.
8. The coordinators reserve the right to alter any rule with regard to the event and the same shall be updated on the website regularly.
9. Judges decision shall be deemed final and undisputed with regard to the selection of the winners.
10. Violation of any above said rules, use of any illegal means will lead to immediate disqualification of team.
Problem statement:
** You have to design a whole system to generate Morse Code.
** There will be two UP and DOWN switches.
** There will be a seven segment display.
** Pressing UP switch will increment the previous value in seven segment display and Down switch will decrement it.
** The updated value is displayed in seven segment display.
** And a led is flashed that many number of times as displayed in seven segment display (1-9).
Team details:
1. A team will consist of TWO members only.
2. Students from different colleges may form a team.
3. Only one submission is accepted per team.
4. The participants must be students (graduate or postgraduate) of any recognized college in India.
