PRELIMINARY GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: NCC NATIONAL GAMES

General :
NCC National Games will be conducted under the aegis of HQ DGNCC for NCC Cadets Boys and Girls at New Delhi wef 17 Oct - 28 Oct 2013.

Aim :
To inculcate competitive spirit amongst cadets and provide them opportunities to participate in events held at National Level.

Competitions :
Inter- Dte Competitions will be conducted in the following events:-
(a) Football - Boys Only
(b) Hockey - Boys Only
(c) Kabaddi - Boys and Girls (Please note change)
(d) Kho-Kho - Girls Only
(e) X- Country - Boys and Girls
(f) Shooting - Boys and Girls

Responsibility :
Responsibility of various Dtes for the conduct of Inter- Dte Competitions are as under:-
(a) Football - West Bengal and Sikkim NCC Dte
(b) Hockey - Punjab, Haryana, HP and Chandigarh NCC Dte
(c) Kabaddi - Mah NCC Dte
(d) Kho-Kho - Gujrat NCC Dte
(e) X- Country - UP NCC Dte
(f) Shooting - Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh NCC Dte

Opening and Closing Ceremony. NCC Dte Delhi will be responsible for the conduct of the Opening and Closing Ceremony.

Venue and Conduct :
All NCC Dtes responsible for the conduct of the various events are requested to forward draft general instructions for the respective events by 12 Aug 2013 to NCC National Org Cell in line with the directions of DG NC issued on 05 Aug 2013 during Conference. It is clarified that the administration and conduct of various events will be the responsibility of the respective Dtes. However NCC Games Org Cell established at HQ DG NCC will provide all necessary assistance.

Eligibility Criteria :
The following conditions will apply:-
(a) Must be a bona-fide cadet.
(b) Must be below 21 years of age as on 31 Dec 2013.
(c) Cadets from Education Institutions having open vacancy should be duly authenticated by the OC of the affiliated NCC unit.

Kitting :
All Dtes will be responsible for kitting their respective teams in their respective colour codes as forwarded vide our Letter No 4023/Kabaddi/DGNCC/Trg B dt 24 Jul 2013 to participate in different events as per details given below:-
(a) Football. Shorts, Dte Colour T-Shirt, Stockings, Shin Pads, Football Boots.
(b) Hockey. Shorts, Dte Colour T-Shirt, Stockings, Shin Pads, Hockey Boots for Astro Turf Ground, Goal Keeper Set to include Helmet, Chest Guard, Fore Arm Guard, Abdominal Guard and Goalkeeper Pads etc.
(c) Cross Country. Shorts, Dte Colour T-Shirt and Sport Shoes.
(d) Kho- Kho. Shorts, Dte Colour T-Shirt and Sport Shoes.
(e) Kabaddi . Shorts, Dte Colour T-Shirt and Sport Shoes.
(f) Shooting. Specified Dress for Shooting on lines of Mavlankar Shooting Competition/Track Suits. Conduct

All Games except X- Country and Shooting will be held on a league cum knockout basis with teams divided into 4-5 Pools with top two teams getting into Quarter Final and subsequently to Semi-Final and Finals.

Shooting. No open category competition will be held during the games.

X- Country. The composition of the team will be 08 running members and 04 reserves in each team (Total- 12). The distance for boys will be 08 Km and Girls 06 Km.
