1. What is this website known for?

3. What if I pay bank Challan after Pay By Date of the Employment Notification Form?
In every Challan (postal Challan or any Bank Challan), "Pay By date" is mentioned. If the candidate pays the challan amount after "Pay By Date" using the same slip (in case the banker accepts it by mistake), still the application is termed invalid. It is mandatory that Application Forms are accepted for only those candidates who pay the amount before "Pay By date" mentioned in the Acknowledgement or on the Postal/Bank Challan.

4. Why I cannot download a particular bank Challan?
In case the bank servers are busy or unresponsive, the Challans cannot be downloaded. In these cases, candidate must choose alternate mode of payment (other bank challan or postal challan) and must pay the challan amount before PAY-BY-Date itself, otherwise, application form filled is invalid.

5. Why I must fill the application form much before the Closing date?
After getting the acknowledgement successfully, candidate who needs to pay challan amount/fees can download respective bank challan slip from the acknowledgement page itself (Please see employment notification details for candidates exempted to pay bank challan fees under special conditions - rrcchennai.org.in).

Except postal challan, Candidates who has bank challans downloaded from this portal, CAN PAY THE CHALLAN AMOUNT only after 24 hours (i.e., next business day or bank working day). Also at the same time candidate has to ensure that the same challan can be used to pay challan amount at the respective bank before "PAY BY DATE" Only. (please check Pay By Date printed at the bottom of Bank Challan). During this time if the bank servers are unresponsive or not available for whatever reason, the candidate has to ensure that he/she can pay amount via Post office. No reason or request for late payment is accepted by Railway Recruitment Cell, Southern Railway, Chennai. Every application form is termed invalid for payments NOT DONE before "Pay By Date".

That is the reason, candidates are suggested to pay bank challan fees much before the closing date. In case the candidate wishes to pay challan amount immediately, he/she can download postal challan and can pay IMMEDIATELY AFTER printing acknowledgement.

Note: Enough duration is given to candidates for every employment notification posting, henceforth candidates are suggested to fill the application form much before the closing date of the forms.

6. What documents do I need to take if I want to pay amount at bank?
a) Download & Print application Acknowledgement Page from this portal
b) Download & Print respective bank challan ( Example : you cannot use Indian Bank Challan to pay at SBI or you cannot use SBI Challan to pay at Indian Bank).
c) Photo ID (mandatory for few banks)

7. What do I need to make sure while paying amount at Post Office?
Once the amount is paid at post office by providing postal challan along with application Acknowledgement page (printed) , the executive/official at post office shall receive money and shall give you a payment receipt. THIS RECEIPT must be maintained and stored by the candidate for all future verification purposes (during exam & interview stages). That is the only proof for the candidate that the payment has been made.

Please make sure that the following details are correct on the payment receipt given by the executive/official at post office. If any details are found incorrect, please correct it by contacting the concerned official and correct it before "Pay By Date" ONLY. No corrections are accepted after "Pay By date". Otherwise your application form is termed invalid. No further queries or request will be handled.

8. Can I edit details after filling the application Form?
No. The candidate is shown preview page before submitting the main form. After verifying all the details only, the candidate has to declare that all the particulars given in the Application are true and correct. If the candidate is not verifying the data before submitting the application form or if the candidate has entered wrong data during whatever case, the application form is said to be invalid.
