4th All India Police Commando Competition-2013
INTRODUCTION :
The 4th All India Police Commando Competition-2013 will be conducted at Tamil Nadu Police Academy, Oonamancherry, Chennai from 23rd December to 28th December 2013. States / UT Police Forces / CPOs may field one Commando Team in the competition.

AIM :
The aim of this competition is to enhance physical and mental robustness, shooting skills, leadership qualities under stressful conditions and foster team spirit among the participants.

DURATION :
It will be a six days event including opening & closing, participating teams will be put through the competition in four stages.

SCHEDULE OF TEAMS :
Draw of lots will be conducted one day prior to the commencement of the competition for the sequence and time of competition of teams. Draw will be conducted in the presence of all team Managers / Coaches and representatives of the All India Police Sports Control board during the Managers’ Meeting.

DATE :
The 4th All India Police Commando Competition -2013 will be held from 23rd December 2013 to 28th December 2013.

VENUE :
All the events will be conducted at the Tamil Nadu Police Academy, Oonamancherry, near Vandalur, Chennai.

CLIMATE :
Chennai weather is hot and humid as it lies close to the equator and is in also on the coast. The temperature varies from 20 °C to 30 °C.

VENUE AND REPORTING DATE :
All participating teams are required to report at the control room of 4th All India Police Commando Competition 2013 at TamilNaduPoliceAcademy, Oonamancherry, near Vandalur, Chennai , Contact No. 9840366100. It is advised that team should arrange their journey in such way that they arrive at Chennai Railway Station latest by the morning of 22st Dec 2013.

RECEPTION AND TRANSPORTATION :
All the teams arriving by trains will be received at Chennai Central Railway Station and will be escorted to their places of accommodation. Reception center will be set at Chennai Railway Station. Participants arriving by air will be received at ChennaiAirport. It is requested that mode and date of journey, train, flight number may please be communicated well in advance to the ADGP, Operations, Marutham, No.17, Boat Club Road, Raja AnnamalaiPuram, Chennai-28 Phone No. 09840366100, Fax No. 044-24343660 e-mail marutham28@gmail.com and necessarily should register themselves through phone/ e-mails . The transport arrangements for the participants to travel between the venue and accommodation will also be arranged. Each team will be provided with one liaison Officer.

ELIGIBILITY CRETERIA :
Every competitor participating in the competition should have completed a minimum of one year of continuous service in police Forces and certificate to that effect should be appended at the bottom of the entry form duly signed by an officer not below the rank of IGP. The entry forms should not contain more names than the limits as laid down.

ENTRY FORM :
The Entry Form signed by an officer not below the rank of Inspector General of Police is required to be sent to organizing Secretary before 15-11-2013. The entry forms should have a certificate stating that all the participants are physically and mentally fit to participate in All India Police Commando Competition and that during the competition, if any participant sustains any injury/grievous hurt, organizers will not be responsible. The Proforma of Entry Form is attached as appendix.

ENTRY FEES :
Entry fees for the competition will be Rs.50/-per participant including reserves/Team Manager/Coaches and others. This fee has to be sent to the Organizing Secretary, 4th All India Police Commando Competition-2013 along with the Entry Forms. It is requested that this amount may be remitted through Bank Draft in favor of Organizing Secretary, 4th All India Police Commando Competition-2013, payable at State Bank of India, Chennai Main Branch.
