IDB SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM :
Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, introduced its scholarship program in many countries including India in the year of 1983 with a view to promote professional education among Muslim community. This emerged as the main source of our program.

To Qualify for Scholarships, Students should meet the following Requirements
Must have secured minimum 60% marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics in SSC (10+2) examination.
Applicants for bachelor courses in Business Administration (BBA) and Law must have scored minimum 60% marks in English and optional/elective subjects in SSC (10+2).
Age not over 24 years and not in receipt of any other scholarship.Only if the students or their parents are financially weak and unable to pay for his/her education. Students opting for payment seats need not apply.
Students benefiting from this scholarship must undertake to serve their community and country on completion of their studies.

Approved areas of study Under the Program:
Bachelor's Degree Courses in Medicine (including Ayurveda, Unani & Homeopathy) Dentistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Science, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Lab Technician, Bio-Technology and Microbiology, Engineering(all branches) Agriculture, Fisheries, Forestry, Food Technology, Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Law.

How to complete the Application Forms:
Application must be in typed form or written clearly with ink in block letters and TWO sets be prepared with all supporting documents.

1. All information must be provided in English. Please attach certified translation of any document not in English.
2. All information requested must be provided ; otherwise processing of the application may be delayed or may not be processed.
3. Indicate your State of Domicile: viz Assam, Bihar, Tamil Nadu etc on the the top of the Application Form

IDB SCHOLARSHIP FOR Ph.D STUDIES :
1. The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) offers Ph.D. scholarships under "The IDB Merit Scholarship Programme for High Technology for Muslim Communities in Non-Member Countries – MSP/MC.”

2. Under the Scholarship, selected scholars may pursue a 3-year Ph.D program in any of the approved fields in science and high technology at renowned institutions of higher learning in selected countries. The scholarship covers:
Tuition fee
Living allowance
Family allowance
Clothing/books allowance
Installation allowance
Computer Allowance
Conference/Thesis preparation allowance
Medical coverage
Return air tickets

3. Prospective applicants must be Indian citizens, attached to a scientific, academic and/or research institution and meet the following

eligibility criteria:
Age not over 35 years
Possess M.Sc degree in science/technology
Possess above average academic standing or ‘Very Good’ overall grades
Having minimum 2 years work experience in science/technology (preferable)
Having proven publications and/or research in science and technology (preferable)
Having research proposal in a specific field of study under the Program directly relevant to country’s national development.

4. Completed Application Form. Relevant required documents must be submitted to Muslim Education Trust, New Delhi (and not directly to the IDB Headquarters in Jeddah), by October 30, 2013

MET SCHOLARSHIP FOR PREPARATION COURSES

Muslim Education Trust also provides scholarships for the preparation of Entrance Exams of professional courses like IIT-JEE, AIEEE, PMT, AIPMT & other state level professional courses. Students or their parents are financially weak and unable to pay for their education (Salary Certificate or Proof of Income required) can apply for the Scholarship.

MET SCHOLARSHIP FOR UPSC AND STATE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSIONS
The MET financial assistance is more than just a scholarship in the traditional sense. It is in reality a tool for the improvement of the social and economic condition of the deprived people in particular and the Nation as a whole in general.

Selected candidates are encouraged to obtain admission to premier institutes/coaching centers in order to groom them properly to become capable of competing successfully at the Civil Services Examinations conducted by U.P.S.C. or State Public Service Commissions or obtaining higher professional education at the institutes of repute. These candidates are taken under the guidance and care of MET in order to help them to prepare properly for the Preliminary, Mains, and Interview for Personality Test conducted by the U.P.S.C. or State Public Service Commissions. Deserving candidates preparing for or pursuing higher professional courses are also assisted financially. Girls are given preference in order of merit.

The Awardees are expected to take part in the development of the Community through their respective professions. The repaid fund is recycled to provide scholarships to other deserving candidates; complement the MET Scholarship Programme and to ensure continuity of the Programme in the long run. The community development services rendered by the awardees will contribute to the overall development of the Community and the Nation.
