Jharkhand Space Application Center (JSAC), Ranchi has to recruit bright, hardworking, reliable and competent professional on purely contract basis for the project executed in JSAC. The posts are on contract basis for a minimum period of one year.

1.Name of the post : Project Scientist (Backlog)

Total Monthly emoluments (Rs.): 20000/-
Minimum Essential Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Agriculture/ Geology/ Geophysics/ Forestry/ Geography/ Hydrology/ RS & GIS/ Geo-informatics with first class (ii) M. Tech. in Geo-informatics/ Remote Sensing&GIS with first class (iii) M.Sc.(Engg.) in Agriculture/ Water Resource/ Hydrology with first class (iv) B.Sc.(Engg.) in Agriculture/ Water Resource/ Hydrology with first class (v) BE/B.Tech. in Water Resource Engineering with first class.
Essential Experience: Minimum three years working experience in the field of Remote Sensing & GIS Applications.
Desirable: Proficiency in Image processing software (ERDAS, ENVI, etc.) & GIS Software (ARCGIS, MapInfo etc.).

2.Name of the post : GIS Operator

Total Monthly emoluments (Rs.) : 15000/-
Minimum Essential Educational Qualification: B.Sc.in Agriculture/ Soil/ Geology/ Geophysics/ Forestry/ Mathematics/ Physics/Information Technology with First Class along with specialization in Geo-informatics/Remote sensing & GIS or its equivalent from a recognized university/institute and minimum Two years working experience in the field of RS&GIS.
Desirable: Proficiency in Image processing software (ERDAS, ENVI, etc.) & GIS Software (ARCGIS, MapInfo etc.).
Age : upto 30 years as on 31st July, 2013

3.Name of the post : Administrative Assistant

Minimum Essential Educational Qualification: Graduate degree from recognized university with First Class and basic knowledge of computers and one year relevant experience in similar nature of work.
Desirable: Experience in Establishment, Personnel & General Administration.

Minimum Essential Educational Qualification: Passed 10+2 with 60 % marks and One Year Diploma in Computer Applications and one year experience in the field of data collection in GIS and related projects.

5.Name of the post : Junior Research Fellow

Minimum Essential Educational Qualification: M.Sc in Remote Sensing/Geo-informatics/Environmental Science/Geology/ Geography/ Forestry with First Class.
Desirable: Working Experience in the field of Remote Sensing & GIS with proficiency in Image processing software and GIS software.
Age : upto 28 years as on 31st July, 2013
