ONLINE APPLICATION FOR MERIT-CUM-MEANS BASED SCHOLARSHIP, 2013 FOR STUDENTS BELONGING TO MINORITY COMMUNITIES.

Minorities & Backward Classes welfare Department,Govt of Odisha invites online applications for award of Merit cum Means based scholarship for the 2013 to meritorious students of Odisha belonging to Minority Communities (i.e. Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh and Parsee) pursuing Technical/Professional Courses at Under Graduate / Post Graduate level in recognized Institutions under recognized Universities of Odisha and other recognized Universities of other States of India . Eligibility:
1. Students must be permanent resident of Odisha.
2. Income ceiling of parents shall not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh per annum.
3. Minimum eligibility mark is 50%,secured in the last final examination of the Board/ University .
4. 30% scholarship is earmarked for girl students.

Documents to be enclosed:
1. One Passport size photograph duly signed,
2. Certificates in support of educational qualification/Income/Caste duly attested,
3. 1st page of Savings Bank Pass Book mentioning correct A/C no,IFSC code, MICR Code of the Bank,

General Terms & Conditions:
** Last date for submission of online applications- 30th September,2013(Fresh Scholarships)
** Last date for submission of online applications - 31st December 2013(Renewal Scholarships)
** Last date for submission of duly signed printed version of online applications alongwith required documents to the Head of the Institute -10th October, 2013 ( FRESH Scholarships) and 10th January,2014 in case of RENEWAL scholarships
** Students may get Scholarship up to Rs. 30,000/-(ie. Actual Course Fee or Rs. 20,000/- per annum, whichever is less and Maintenance Allowance of Rs. 10,000/- for Hosteller/ Rs. 5000/- for Day Scholar) per year for Institutions other than Listed Institutions.

Submission of hard copies of applications and documents with recommendation of the Head of the Institution before the DWOs is mandatory. Without receipt of hard copies within due date the application is likely to be rejected.

The students who have availed MCM scholarship for 2012-13 and not changed their course shall apply for Renewal scholarship Other applicants to apply for FRESH scholarship.
