Responsibilities include :
** Designing and developing enterprise class highly scalable mission critical applications
** Collaborating with product management, testing and external customers to deliver innovative, highly usable products and modules
** Reviewing business requirements and coming up with high level time and cost estimates
** Producing technical design and solution approach for new products/modules
** Hands-on coding (at least 25% of the time) and code reviews for team members
** Full ownership and accountability to deliver on agreed upon plans within budget, on schedule and to defined quality standards.
** Regular use/reporting of metrics for resource allocation, software defects, productivity, and efficiency.
** Ensuring commitments and progress to schedules remain clear, reasonable, and are proactively monitored.
** Recruiting new talent and coaching team members to build a world class agile development team of 5-15 engineers
** Establishment of performance goals for all team members.
Required Domain Experience :
** Demonstrated expertise in building innovative, scalable, high performance and secure enterprise-class products
** 8+ years of experience in enterprise SW development, preferably in a distributed team
** 3+ years of experience as a people manager
** 3+ years of experience in J2EE, SOA, EAI, Workflow and Web Services technologies.
** Must be knowledgeable in relational databases (DB2, MS-SQL, Oracle)
** Prior experience in Agile/Scrum and secure development methodologies
** Banking or financial industry experience is a plus
** BE/B. Tech - CS/ECE
