SCHEDULE OF 1st STAGE WRITTEN EXAMINATION FOR NTPC UNDER GRADUATE CATEGORIES

1st stage written examination for all categories of CEN No.04/2010 (which includes the eligible candidates of EN No.NTPC/ER/1/2008 also) will be held as the programme given below:

Call letters to the provisionally eligible candidates have already been sent through post at the address given by the candidates in the application form. Railway will not be responsible for any postal delay or wrong delivery.

Candidates can also download the call letter from the only authorised website of RRB/ Ranchi rrbranchi.org. However, they must properly check their bio-data such as name, Father name, Date of Birth, address and photograph. Candidates should check their application status first and only those candidates will be able to download the call letter whose application is accepted and who have been allotted Roll Nos. Application status is available on RRB website for all the candidates of CEN No.04/2010 and EN No.NTPC/ER/01/2008. However, downloading of call letter will start w.e.f. 10/8/2013 for the candidates having examination on 01/9/2013 and w.e.f. 07/9/2013 for candidates having examination on 22/9/2013. Free travel authority will not be available in the case of downloaded Duplicate call letters. Downloaded duplicate call letter from the website will be valid for written examination only.

Rejection advice to the applicants against the post notified through CEN No. 04/2010 whose applications were rejected were also sent to the candidates in the month of May-2011. But the Rejection advice was not sent to the applicants of EN No.NTPC/ER/1/2008 since they were given an opportunity to submit fresh application against CEN No. 04/2010 if their application status uploaded in RRB/Ranchi website showed REJECTED.

The provisionally eligible candidates who do not get call letters or who have been issued call letter with wrong names, community, photograph and free travel authority (for SC/ST) and Candidates who are not able to download the call letter from the website of RRB/Ranchi despite being eligible may contact personally the office of Railway Recruitment Board, Ranchi along with attested copies of Date Of Birth certificate, two passport size recent colour photographs and caste certificate, if applicable as per the following programme for getting correct/Duplicate call letters:

The candidates are advised to strictly follow the above schedule. Moreover the candidates who have been allotted examination centres at other than Ranchi city should report for Duplicate Call letters latest by Friday (30/8/2013 & 20/9/2013) so that they can reach their allotted city in time.

Passport size colour photograph should be affixed on the downloaded Call letter and it should be duly attested by a Gazetted officer without which a candidate will not be allowed to sit in the written examination.

Candidates seeking entry in the examination centre with downloaded call letter must bring any one of the following identity proof in ORIGINAL with them : (i) Voter ID Card (ii) ID card issued by the recognised educational institutes (iii)PAN Card (iv) Driving License (v) Passport (vi) Disability certificate (vii) Identity proof having photo issued by any GazettedOfficer on his/her Letter head.

Those OBC candidates who have not submitted requisite certificate from competent authority and/or self declaration of non-creamy layer status have not been found eligible as OBC candidates but their candidature/applications have been considered under General (UR) category subject to their fulfilling all eligibility conditions for General (UR) category. Such candidates need not come for correction in their Admit cards.

In case a candidate has original call letter received through post as well as a downloaded call letter, he should bring the original call letter only to examination centre to avoid inconvenience.

Request for duplicate call letter for any correction will not be entertained on day of written examination. It may be noted that duplicate call letter will be issued only to those candidates whose names exists in eligible list.

WARNING : Beware of fake website put up by unscruplous elements/touts.

CAUTION: Beware of the unscrupulous person who may misguide the candidates with false promises of getting them selected for the job on illegal consideration. The recruitment process in the RRB exam is fully computerized and the selection is based purely on the merit of candidates.
