Job Description
Responsible to take charge of the Piping Design & detailed Engineering functions of the Centre.

The incumbent must have piping design experience in multi disciplinary environment with renowned Engineering Consultancy companies working for Refinery / Petrochemical projects specifically in Hydrocarbon Industry Exposure to site construction / trouble shooting assignments shall be an advantage.

Conversant with national and international engineering standards, codes and practices applicable to Hydrocarbon / Petrochemicals plant piping design. Proficiency in using latest application software for various fields of Piping Design engineering & drafting.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Lead the team of 150.

Provide expert leadership to the centre in Plant & Piping Layout, Design & Detailed Engineering of Piping.systems as practiced in Refinery / Petrochemical / Projects specifically in Hydrocarbon Industry

Introduce design automation through latest software, recruit, form & supervise a team of efficient CAD technicians .

Install relevant software, recruit & supervise engineers who are specialized in flexibility analysis of Hot / Cold lines.

Assist the Design head in overall coordination and control of engineering activities of concurrently running EPCM projects for the Piping Department.

Developing standards, systems and procedures for plant piping and equipment designs. Should be very familiar with all relevant Piping Codes & Standards.

Be part of multidisciplinary task force engineering team to ensure timely execution of Projects. Ensuring that all the Piping work i.e. drawings and documentation meet all design, Contractual & Statutory requirements.

Close coordination, checking & supervision of Engineering Consultants & Technology providers

Planning, monitoring, progress reporting and controlling project engineering work. Providing to the Project team drawings & documents after drafting them in-house or obtaining them from technology providers subsequent to due process of checks & approvals.

Keeping updated with latest developments in the field and disseminating same information within the group in an effort to develop in-house Engineering Practices & Standards .
