Applications are invited from young and motivated candidates for the post of JRF under the following research projects;
(1) Project : Assessing soil erosion and nutrient loss and its impact on soil quality and crop productivity (Mountain ecosystem processes and services in North Western Himalaya under EOAM mission programme of ISRO).

Essential Qualification: B. Tech. (Agriculture Engineering) with two years experience in RS & GIS applications in agriculture or M. Tech. in Remote Sensing applications in Agriculture & Soils or M. Sc. (Agriculture) in Soil Science/Soil Conservation/Environmental Sciences/Geography with one year experience or PG Diploma in RS & GIS applications in Agriculture with minimum 55% marks. (2) Project : Soil, vegetation-atmosphere-flux (National Carbon Project)

Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), a Unit of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), is a premier institute for capacity building and research in the field of remote sensing and geoinformatics. The institute has a multi-disciplinary team and researchers on developing land-ocean-atmosphere applications and understanding Earth’s surface and subsurface processes using primarily the space-based technologies. The research programmes are intricately linked to overall goal of ISRO and promote research excellence in satellite remote sensing and system studies.
IIRS invites applications for the posts of Scientists/Engineers-SC as detailed below;
1. Name of the post : Scientist/Engineer-SC (Urban Planning)
Essential Qualification : Master’s degree in Urban & Regional Planning with basic qualification of graduate in Civil Engineering or Architecture from any recognized Indian University or College.
Desirable Qualification Two years working experience after Master’s degree in Urban & Regional Planning.
2. Name of the post :Scientist/Engineer-SC (Agriculture & Soils)
Essential Qualification : Master’s degree in Soil Science with B. Sc (Agriculture).
Desirable Qualification : Specialization in Pedology/Soil Physics and 2-3 years research experience on soil processes modeling.
Note :Please note that the candidates should have passed M. Sc. Degree in First Division with an aggregate of 65% marks (average of all semesters/years, as applicable) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.5 on a 10 scale.
Pay & Allowances: ` 15,600 – 39,100 (PB-3) + Grade Pay ` 5400/- per month.
Age limit: The age limit is 35 years on the closing date of receipt of applications.
