Job Description
Essential Functions / Responsibilities

Responsible for integration of all wiring and cabling on the locomotive.

Understand and derive electrical requirements from all subsystems through design specifications and cross-functional involvement with core team.

Key deliverables include the electrical equipment list, schematic and wirelist for the locomotive.

Utilize extensively the GE standard tools for electrical documentation (EDE schematics, WILMOR, CAS, DOORS).

Write instructions and Change Orders for drafting to develop the harness bills of materials within the proper locomotive bill of material structure.

Work with shop management and labor during development of the various sub-assemblies through the test and validation testing.

Update drawings, bills of material, wirelists, and schematics as product is built to assure final shipped product can be serviced and overhauled using this documentation. Understand and assist in the development of mechanical wiring runs for cleating and conduit of cables and wire harnesses.

Prepare and present information to the other engineering teams to review the electrical documentation using the design review process.
