UNIFORM DESIGN COMPETITION
EOI for shortlisting of fashion/uniform design firms for a competition of designing uniforms for Jaipur Metro Staff

Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) plans to open operations on its first line by August 2013, with the mission of providing a safe, green, comfortable and fast mass rapid urban transit system to the capital city of Rajasthan.

To undertake operation and maintenance of Jaipur Metro, Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) has selected the best talent as its operation & maintenance staff, has given them the best training and would like them to appear in a uniform that best suits the professional, environmental and aesthetic requirements.

Therefore, JMRC invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from well-established fashion/uniform design firms for short listing eligible and capable firms for participating in a competition of designing uniforms for various categories of operation and maintenance staff of JMRC.

Eligibility Criteria for shortlisting :
i) The firm should be a well-established fashion / uniform design organisation that has been in existence for the last 10 years.
ii) It should have a turnover of at least Rs. 25 Lakhs per annum in any three financial years of the last five financial years.
iii) It should have the experience of having designed uniforms for at least 3 large corporate houses, hotels or Government / Non-Government organisations during the last 5 financial years.

Documents to be submitted :
A profile of the firm, to demonstrate that it is a well-established fashion/uniform design firm. It must include the following information:
a) Firms’s name, postal address, phone nos and e-mail.
b) Name of firm’s CEO or equivalent.
c) Designer(s) associated with the firm and his/her/theirs experience profile.
d) Main highlights of firm’s achievements in the last 5 years.
e) List of awards or any other credentials, the firm may like to give in support of its case.

Others Terms and conditions of EOI :
i) The EOI should reach JMRC in a sealed envelope addressed to Director (Corporate Affairs) by 24th June 2013. The EOI can also be submitted as scanned soft copy through Email (jmrc.uniforms@gmail.com) by 24th June 2013. The hard copy in such cases should be submitted prior to or at the time of briefing (Stage III).
ii) Any expenditure in preparation of EOI will be borne by the firm.
iii) The short listing will be at the discretion of JMRC and subsequent selection of best design shall be at the discretion of the Jury appointed by JMRC and its decision shall be final.
iv) There is no entry fee and no printed form to be purchased. EOI is to be submitted on a plain paper along with the details/ documents mentioned at Para 3 above.
