    Job Description
    JAVA Developers/Managers:
    3 or more years of experience in application development of which more than 2 years in JAVA Suite. Atleast 2 full cycle SDLC experience. Hands on experience in OO design, Eclipse or other common IDE, Clearcase (preferred) or other enterprise source control tool. Experience in Web Services (SOAP), XML, XSLT, JMS, JSP, EJB Container, Tomcat, Servlets, Struts, Junit, JAVA Libraries 1.4+, Ant. Hands on experience on SQL - Oracle, MS SQL or Sybase on on SUN Solaris

    These positons are based in Singapore.

    Aldea Infotech (Human Capital Management Division) has been retained by a multinational enterprise as a resourcing partner to fill the above postions for their Singapore operations.

    Desired Candidate Profile
    Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems.
    Experience in working for BFSI vertical especially with Investment Banking domain is highly preferred.
    Must be a strong team player with excellent communication and analytical skills.
    Certification is a plus.

    Scope : Workstation application is based on Portal architecture and is a conglomeration of a variety of functionalities like keeping account information of existing clients, of prospects, track of Business risk associated with client accounts, opportunities for client, handling the service requests like issuing cheque books for an account etc. This entire application keeps track of existing customers, the professional advisors and the prospects.
    Responsibilities :
    - Involved in the migration of portal server 6.0 to Portal server 6.1 and WAS 6.0 to 7.0
    - Tested various environments to ensure defect free release.
    - Part of the complex CRM Outlook integration project wherein the CRM part of the workstation was integrated with Microsoft outlook so that meetings created in outlook could be seen in the WorkStation.
    - Designed the architecture for displaying call records in bubble format something similar to the way messages are seen in Apple iPhone.
    - Proposed and implemented the quick call record functionality, by tweaking the normal lengthy process of creating a call record and just capture the basic minimal information needed to log a call record.
    - Involved in providing the CRM functionality to Europe and Hong Kong regions, as part of the request created Jersey rest services interact with Ibatis framework to get the customers information which is rendered using JSR168 Portlets.
    Initiatives :
    - Created a tool using Apache HTTP Client, and JTIDY to read a web page and automated the deployment process, this tool reduced the cumbersome process of manually downloading files from the specified server location. Earlier the deployment process took 16hrs per person per month; the tool now requires 4 hrs per person per month along with the accuracy factor.
    - Awarded with Extra Miller Award for the work done in bubble display of call records and proactively coming up and implementing the idea of deployment process.

    Scope : Web Access ordering (WAO) application is designed to make Access Service Request (ASR) ordering process easy and accurate. The application consists of more sub-applications namely ASRW and SPOC.
    Job Responsibilities :
    - Testing for major releases of Web sphere Server migration from Version 5 (WAS5) to version 6(WAS6), which included preparation of STPs, main frame testing.
    - Handled a major high complexity merger Work request where in an application by the name CAFÉ which used to provide same functionality as WAO for the people in South east region was retired and replaced by WAO. As a part of this work request WAO application’s pre validation tools which ensure that always correct data is given to the Mainframe systems thereby reducing fall outs were expanded to cater people from South east region. In this release I solely completed the expansion of “Address Pre-Validation” tool which had the maximum alterations and required to develop a web service client to invoke existing web service.
    Achievement - Received Spot Award for exemplary performance.
    - Handled work requests, production issues and customer support activities for ASRW application. Used by AT&T customers to request an access for a wireless resource from AT&T. Application tracks all the stages in which an ASRW goes during its life cycle. Implemented AJAX in this project to decrease the response time which lead to client saving.
    - Managed and executed work request to expand ASRW application to Southeast Region.
    - Managed and executed work requests adhering to Organization process EXPRESS (Excellence in Process for Enterprise Software Solutions) followed at AT&T which includes documentation and checking in and out documents from AT&T’s internal document repository at appropriate project stage. Undertook training sessions and presentations to project groups and other SBC projects on EXPRESS processes.

    Scope : XMLB2B Application enables system-to-system interface with ISP customers and SBC in order to process DSL orders. It also provides transactions that will enable a system to construct the necessary information for DSL provisioning using XML technology. XMLB2B sends information about orders in XML format to CPSOS application servers and returns the result back in XML format to the requesting application. The advantage of this application is it allows reducing business rule errors and providing a logical flow that will reduce fallout.
    Responsibilities :
    - Successfully handled System Appreciation phase when the application was first off shored to Infosys. In this phase we had to take Knowledge from the client team, for which strong communication skills were required.
    - Handled a release wherein ATT has provided a new product to its customers. This required analysis of the requirements, Designing, Coding, Testing, Bug fixing.
    - Was selected among the few in Infosys who were entrusted with the challenging job of production monitoring from offshore. This activity required continuous monitoring of production logs, analyzing of logs if something goes wrong, determining which application is responsible for those events and providing solutions.
    - Created a tool that would let the client know which ISPs are using what version of B2B application. This tool enabled client to achieve $6000 annual savings.
    - Understood the IT UP process and gave sessions on same to rest of the team
    - Created a tool which would enable user to scan log files on a UNIX box given the server name and the search string that has to be traced. The tool was appreciated and benefited across other teams as it eased the cumbersome task of scanning logs files thereby saving manual efforts and cost.
