Desired Candidate Profile
The candidate will be part of the ASPAC Clearing & Brokerage Apps Team, and will provide operational solutions and support for multiple clearing & brokerage applications used by the JPMorgan F&O Regional Operation Centers in Asia Pacific.

The candidate is required to have an expert knowledge of ClearVision, which is an industry standard post-trade acceptance and allocation tool used extensively within F&O. They must also have experience of the use of ClearVision within a highly automated STP environment.

ClearVision requires trouble shooting of the technical infrastructure (Network/telecoms, W2K and UNIX), software (the CV server and Oracle
server) and the outbound trade feed to the main trade processing system (GMI). The role will involve liaising with the vendor (GL software) and other internal teams (GTI), analyzing, developing and testing enhancements to the system, and planning and implementing the rollout of changes into the production environment.

The candidate must be comfortable dealing with business users, other technical teams and the software vendor. They must also be proactive, flexible and be able to prioritise their own work and have a proven track record in managing and delivering projects from initiation to delivery.
The candidate would also be expected to have a minimum of three years experience working with the ClearVision application. Further knowledge of ClearVision's use on AsPac markets such as SFE/HKFE, would be an advantage.

In addition to an ability to manage their own projects the successful candidate will be expected to act in an advisory capacity on a number of other ClearVision related projects to both AD Colleagues and the F&O Business. The candidate will have to liaise with third party vendors and clients to understand requirements and participate in the delivery of global, regional and local projects. An understanding of the Futures & Options Business is essential.

The team that this candidate will be a part of consists of approximately 5 resources located in Sydney, but will form part of the global Futures & Options clearing support team. Must be a self-starter, highly-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills required to liaise with Business

Ability to read & perform analysis on business requirements & provide
valuable recommendations & solutions.
Able to run with small projects including gathering business
requirements, undertake functional analysis, impact analysis and
overall design and documentation of end to end solutions
Excellent written communication to be able to create detailed
progress & status reports, as well as to clearly and concisely
articulate issues and risks
Self-starting team player to form close working relationship with
colleagues outside of Sydney
Able to work in an unsupervised fashion, under pressure, and to
deliver to tight deadlines
Ability to work within a team
Knowledge and exposure to the Futures & Options industry required
Sound technical understanding of Unix, Databases, Communications &
other standard technical practices used in the Futures & Options
industry required

Competencies:
Good understanding of core technology, with sound understanding of
the technology used in the Futures & Options industry
Knowledge of Clearing Applications, such as ClearVision, & Exchange
Clearing interfaces is essential
Strong Project Management and Business Analysis skills
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to prioritise work whilst managing business and management
expectations
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Ability to communicate at all levels within business and technology
Attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
Flexibility in hours due to requirement to liaise with offshore teams
Japanese speaking beneficial
