Job Description
The successful candidate will be a self motivated and skilled in the technological area.

The administrator will have a thorough understanding of Hyperion
System 9. Domain knowledge is necessary to understand the relationship
between the business processes and associated data flow.

Responsibilities include:
-Installation and configuration of Hyperion System 9 components for
all DEV, QA, and PROD instances
-Administration of the System, including upgrades and patching
-Backup and recovery of all the components and repository
-Design and implementation of Hyperion Planning and BI Applications
-Develop and roadmap technologies, best practices, providing
alternatives and making recommendations for solutions
-Knowledge transfer of Hyperion specific skills to the Business Units.
-Serve as repository of Institutional knowledge for Hyperion
technologies
-As part of the team, take part in the design, development, and
implementation of the data warehouse.
-Apply quantitative methods to analyze, synthesize and interpret
information from multiple data sources.

Requirements:
-Expertise in Hyperion applications including PLANNING and ESSBASE
-Expertise in Hyperion Planning and ESSBASE administration and
associated issues and technologies.
-Experience installing and maintaining Hyperion System 9 for Planning
and BI
-Excellent knowledge of scripting languages such as PERL, VB Script or
Unix Shell Scripts
-Good understanding of Operating systems (Windows and Unix)
-Good RDBMS knowledge (SQL Server preferred)
-Good knowledge of Servers and Storage hardware
-Good understanding of JAVA and application server technologies
