Job Description
- Design works for Piping and its Support Systems, Pipe Route Layout, Equipment General Arrangement Layout, Stress Analysis, 3D Model and clash check, Protective Coating and Insulation, Specialty Items, Line and Tie-in List and other detail engineering works
- Collaborate with Structural Engineer in developing Plot Plan
- Choose the best solution in terms of technical and economical aspects in designing systems.
- Ensure the engineering activities are carried out within the established time schedule and the budget of manhours allocated.
- Discuss with Project Manager and Client on technical problems which might arise during the design development.
- Prepare and review the technical specifications, material take-off, request-of-bid and technical bid evaluation.
- Review and comment of vendor’s equipment drawings and/or sub-contractor shop drawings.
- Assist the other project personnel, as and when required.
- Ensure adequate flow of design information with the other disciplines. Review the completeness of the incoming information and data and notify the project team of all deficiencies.
- Keep the discipline lead informed on the progress status. Prepare monthly progress report.
- Keeping design calculation sets, review of drawings before the issue for construction and the like properly filed.
- Participate in-field commissioning and start up of piping system
