Data Base Administrator/Architect :
Job Description :
Responsibilities: Database Administrator for SQL Server and Oracle.
Technical Skills:
** More than two years of experience on SQL Server administration with exposure to Oracle on UNIX and Windows environments.
** Working with the Development team to fix the problems in Applications; ability to migrate SQL's or procedures from one environment to another.
** Performance Tuning of application database which includes SQL optimization, memory and other parameters.
** Planning, scheduling and taking Oracle/SQL backups.
** Should have good Technical and Leadership skills to lead a small team.
Soft Skills : The candidate should be assertive with strong communication and problem solving skills. He/She should have the passion to excel.
Databases : SQL Server 2000/2005 and Oracle10g/9i
Operating Systems : Windows 2003/2005/2007/XP , UNIX (Sun Solaris) / Red Hat Linux
Tools : OEM, SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, RMAN, Toad, Quest tools, Statspack, TKPROF, AWR, ADDM, PUTTY, JDBC, ODBC, VI editor, Bash/ksh/csh
Desired Profile : He /she needs to be a B.E/B.Tech/MCA from a reputed institute with excellent academic record and should have relevant IT industry experience of 2-6 years.
