Job Title : Manager – Visual Merchandising.
Position purpose:
To ensure the brand identity and highest standard of visual merchandise presentation are achieved consistently and creatively, luring customers and increasing the footfall of the store, by attractively displaying products and merchandise.
Job Specification: Total work experience: 8 years minimum**
Qualification: Graduate in fine Arts/NIFT/Commercial Art or Graduates/Interior Design/ NID

Skills required:
Soft Skills required: Creative, innovative, planning, commercial awareness/negotiation skills, conceptually sound (sense of fashion/space and proportion, colors etc.). A lot of confidence and energy, good communication skills and a passion for fashion, commercially focused and team work.
System skills required: Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop
Reporting Structure:
Reports to: Business Head – Marketing and VM.
Reportees: Assistant Manager VM, Officer VM and Store VM.
Relationships:
Internal Liaison: Buying & Merchandising, Store GM, Unit team
External Liaison : Vendors, Agencies
Job Description:
** Conceptualization and Documentation of VM Operations in terms of Signage Manual, Merchandise Presentation Manual, Promotion Manual and Store Opening Manual.
** Work closely with B&M for understanding new launches, brand/private to provide relevant VM Support at store
** Budgeting exercise of VM department, including calculation of fund requirements for VM using past data trying to minimize costs wherever possible.
** Plan VM for the units, highlighting the theme identified by B&M team at the beginning of every season.
** Executing Marketing objectives, event set up, shop set up and key idea zones
** With Store planning, decide the space to be allocated as on-hire in the units.
** Identify opportunities for Space On Hire and Brand Visual
** Liaison with Marketing for in store promotions and events at the units.
** Training of Store VMs and ensure that the visual displays are in sync with the themes identified by the B&M team.
** Taking monthly feedback from units in the form of VM reports, expenditure lists etc.
** Taking customer feedback from the units to understand customer's perspective.
** Experiment with new material, new technology, new vendors which match Brand Value.
** Event central ordering, quality control and ensuring timely dispatches.
** Conducting Vendor Audits.
** Create a feedback mechanism for all VM initiatives taken in the Department.

Job Title : Designer
Position purpose: Handle the Designing for Ladies wear of Private Label
Job Specification:
Total work experience: 4-6 years of experience
Qualification: Diploma/Degree in fashion designing/ apparel manufacture/ textile designing from a reputed institute.

Skills required:
Soft Skills required: Understanding of consumer buying behaviour, presentation skills, graphic skills
System skills required: Design softwares viz. Adobe, Photoshop, Corel Draw
Reports Structure:
Reports to: Asst Manager- QA
Reportees: None
Relationships:
Internal Liaison: Buyer, Store Ops.
External Liaison: Vendor, Consumer(during surveys)
Job Description:
** Studying Design Trends/ Forecast & adapting the same to create a design brief for each of the private label vendors.
** Finalizing the color palette for the season & sign off with buyer & category manager.
** Analyze the business ongoing with the buyer, & incorporate recommendations from sell through data & customer feedback in future line development.
** Create Value leaders through product & packaging innovation.
** Graphic designing for the hosiery lines.
** Create sketches of silhouettes, embroideries, prints for product development.
** Work with the buyer to get the right fits for the customer base.
** Package / tag designing in coordination with the buyer & the package supplier e.g. outstanding value tags, value packs etc.
** Ensure that the lines that are designed are giving the desired sell through & delivering the planned margins through analysis & promotional/ pricing action in conjunction with the buyer.
** Work with Visual Merchandising to create display idea for new lines & ensure that stores are made aware of the plan through VM guides.
